Week 10 NFL Draft intel: Why record-breaking QB has a 'Jekyll-Hyde quality'

Each week, Yardbarker is monitoring the 2025 NFL Draft, scheduled for April 24-26 in Green Bay.

From an SEC quarterback to a Marshall pass-rusher, here are five players we are tracking:

What do experts make of Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart?

In a 63-31 Week 10 road win over Arkansas, Dart logged 562 yards (515 passing and 47 rushing), breaking the school record for total yards in a game set by Archie Manning in 1969. He also tossed six TD passes. However, The Athletic’s Dane Brugler isn’t sold on him.

“Dart has a Jekyll-Hyde quality,” Brugler wrote in a Monday roundtable. “If the Arkansas game was your first exposure to him, you’d guess he’s in the top-10 conversation. If you watched the Ole Miss or LSU games, you saw a much more inconsistent player.”

Through his first four SEC games, Dart has completed 61.9 percent of his passes for three TDs and one interception. His inconsistent play may give NFL scouts pause.

Keep tabs on whether Dart (6-foot-2, 225 pounds) backslides in Saturday’s home game against Georgia, No. 3 in the first College Football Playoff rankings. The Bulldogs’ defense features potential first-rounders in defensive end Mykel Williams, linebacker Jalon Walker and safety Malaki Starks.

Miami WR Xavier Restrepo could be a sleeper

Restrepo set the school’s receiving yards record (2,573) in a 53-31 Week 10 home win over Duke. That’s an impressive feat, considering Miami has produced elite WRs, including Pro Football Hall of Famer Michael Irvin.

Restrepo (5-foot-10, 198 pounds) lacks the prototypical size for an NFL WR, which may prevent him from climbing into the first round.

“Despite his lack of elite physical traits, Restrepo’s dependability for QB Cam Ward and the Miami offense will help him during the draft process and could raise his projection into the mid-round range,” wrote Brugler Thursday.

Per Charles Odum of the Associated Press, Ward recently praised Restrepo’s high football IQ and said it helps him beat man coverage. This could make the WR a more appealing prospect for NFL teams.

Exceptional play highlights Ohio State CB Davison Igbinosun’s upside

In Ohio State’s Week 10 road game against Penn State, Igbinosun grabbed a key interception in the end zone, helping the Buckeyes maintain a 14-10 lead before halftime.
