Arizona guard Caleb Love is returning to Tucson for the 2024-25 season, he announced on social media on Wednesday. Love’s decision came on deadline day for early entrants to remain in the NBA Draft or return to school.
A four-year starter — three years at North Carolina and one with Arizona — Love will be back with the Wildcats for his fifth and final year of eligibility. He averaged 18.0 points, 4.8 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game last season, earning him Pac-12 Player of the Year honors. Arizona won the Pac-12 regular-season title before losing to Clemson in the Sweet 16.
Love ranked No. 95 on The Athletic draft analyst Sam Vecenie’s big board last month.

Arizona, along with Arizona State, Colorado, and Utah, will join the Big 12 this season. With six offseason additions, including transfer portal commitments from center Tobe Awaka (Tennessee), forward Trey Townsend (Oakland), and forward Anthony Dell’Orso (Campbell), the Wildcats are set to have one of the strongest rosters in the conference.
Of the three freshmen they are bringing in, two are ranked in the top 50, according to 247Sports Composite: Carter Bryant (No. 23), a McDonald’s All-American and Jamari Phillips (No. 47).
Arizona will also return two key rotational players in Jaden Bradley (7.0 points per game) and KJ Lewis (6.1).
