Major League Baseball will soon be announcing the Atlanta Braves and Cincinnati Reds will playing a 2025 regular season game at Bristol Motor Speedway, according to a report from Evan Drellich of The Athletic.
Finding non-traditional sites to play regular season baseball games is nothing new for MLB. They played the Field of Dreams game in Iowa a few years ago, they played at the historic Rickwood Field just this year, as well as hosting games in other countries, such as London, Mexico, Tokyo, and Seoul.
This is also nothing new for Bristol Motor Speedway. The world famous racetrack with a seating capacity close to 150,000 hosted a college football back in 2016 when the Tennessee Volunteers faced off against the Virginia Tech Hokies.
MLB declined to comment on the report but an official announcement is expected by the end of the week.
