The Washington Wizards have opted not to pick up Patrick Baldwin Jr.’s team option for the 2025-26 season, which would have been his fourth year on the rookie scale. As a result, Baldwin will become an unrestricted free agent in the summer of 2025.
If the Wizards decide to re-sign Baldwin at that point, they’ll be limited to offering him a first-year salary of no more than $4.4 million, the amount of his declined option.
