We are at the point in the NFL season when you must go early if you want the advantage. Anthony Nelson has been on fire in his past two games, with the second-most fantasy points of any defensive lineman. Only the great Myles Garrett has more, but when you have five sacks in one game, that will be tough to beat. Nelson has been making a splash with impact plays, recording 3 sacks, 1 forced fumble, and 1 interception returned for a touchdown in his last eight quarters.
IDP managers who acquire Nelson will not get instant results as the Buccaneers are on the bye in Week 9. If your roster allows it, it’s better to be early and sit on his production for a week rather than miss out next week. Nelson could see increased opportunities with Haason Reddick’s nagging injury.
