Quarterback Waiver Wire Targets | Week 7 Fantasy Football
Week 7 Quarterback Pickups | Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Analysis
Jacoby Brissett | Arizona Cardinals | 27% Rosteship | 2% FAAB
As I have mentioned in previous articles, it is crucial to handcuff your quarterback for situations like this. Jacoby Brissett was named the starter with Kyler Murray dealing with a foot injury. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported that Murray’s injury is a mid-foot sprain and that there’s a possibility he could be out beyond the Colts game. Brissett played well, throwing for 320 yards and two touchdowns in a Week 6 loss to the Colts. Arizona has a bye in Week 8, so Brissett may be asked to start again in Week 7 against the Green Bay Packers.
Tyler Huntley | Baltimore Ravens | 4% Rostership | 2% FAAB
Cooper Rush, who was filling in for an injured Lamar Jackson, was benched in the fourth quarter of the Ravens’ 17-3 loss to the Los Angeles Rams after back-to-back disappointing performances where he threw for 251 passing yards and 4 interceptions in 2 games. Tyler Huntley relieved Rush, completing 10 passes for 68 yards while adding another 39 yards on the ground. Baltimore is on a bye in Week 7, and Jackson should be able to return. However, the backup job in Baltimore now appears to be Huntley’s for the taking.

Running Back Waiver Wire Targets | Week 7 Fantasy Football
Top Week 7 Running Back Pickups | Waiver Wire Analysis
Zonovan Knight | Arizona Cardinals | 16% Rostership | 10% FAAB
Bam Knight was named the starter and led the Arizona Cardinals in carries with 11 compared to Michael Carter’s 9, while also finding the endzone in back-to-back games. With Emari Demercado suffering an ankle injury, this has turned into a two-man backfield until the return of Trey Benson. Knight will be my priority add at the running back position.
Raheem Mostert | Las Vegas Raiders | 40% Rostership | 1-2% FAAB
Still only 40% rostered, Raheem Mostert has emerged as the clear backup to Ashton Jeanty. All Jeanty managers should be rostering Mostert.
Emanuel Wilson | Green Bay Packers | 48% Rostership | 1-2% FAAB
Emanuel Wilson has almost crossed the 50% rostered threshold. Wilson is the handcuff to Josh Jacobs and continues to widen the gap between himself and Chris Brooks.
Wide Receiver Waiver Wire Targets | Week 7 Fantasy Football
Week 7 Wide Receiver Pickups | Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Analysis
Jimmy Horn | Carolina Panthers | 44% Rostership | 2% FAAB
After being inactive for the first four weeks of the 2025 NFL season, Jimmy Horn continues to see his role in the Panthers’ offense increase. In a win against the Dallas Cowboys, Horn received three touches for 47 total yards. The sixth round pick is a sneaky waiver wire add.
Lil’Jordan Humphrey | New York Giants | 2% Rostership | 4-5% FAAB
With Darius Slayton sidelined with an injury, Lil’Jordan Humphrey made an immediate impact after being called up from the Giants’ practice squad. Humphrey caught 4-of-8 targets for 55 yards in Thursday’s 34-17 win over the Philadelphia Eagles. Those 8 targets were a team high and if Slayton continues to miss time, Humphrey will have a role in this offense.
Van Jefferson | Tennessee Titans | 6% Rostership | 1% FAAB
The Titans passing offense is among the worst in the league. Calvin Ridley was injured in the second quarter with a hamstring injury. We know hamstring injuries can linger, and while Elic Ayomanor will be the primary beneficiary, Van Jefferson tied for the team lead in targets with six on Sunday.
Kameron Johnson | Tampa Bay Buccaneers | 0% Rostership | 1% FAAB
The injuries continue to pile up in the Tampa Bay receiving room. Emeka Egbuka left in the third quarter of Sunday’s game against the San Francisco 49ers with a hamstring injury. Kameron Johnson tied for the team league in receptions, which mostly came after Egbuka’s exit. Johnson finished the day with four receptions for a team-high 64 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Tez Johnson | Tampa Bay Buccaneers | 48% Rostership | 1% FAAB
There is a very real chance that Tampa Bay has a starting receiving core of Kameron Johnson, Sterling Shepard, and Tez Johnson when Tampa travels to Detroit for Monday Night Football. Johnson is a big play away from a double-digit fantasy performance.
Zay Jones | Arizona Cardinals | 8% Rostership | 2% FAAB
Marvin Harrison banged the back of his helmet hard on the turf in the middle of the second quarter and did not return to the game against the Indianapolis Colts. Zay Jones stepped in, catching five receptions for 79 yards, which was his most since 2022. Arizona is depleted of receiving weapons outside of Harrison and Trey McBride, so if Harrison misses time, opportunities for targets are there for Zay Jones.
Jordan Whittington | Los Angeles Rams | 44% Rostership | 4-5% FAAB
It is weird to have a handcuff to a wide receiver, but that is precisely what Jordan Whittington is for Puka Nacua. Nacua left Sunday’s win against the Baltimore Ravens with an ankle injury. In his absence, Whittington saw 4 targets, converting them into 3 receptions for 23 yards. In 3 games where Nacua missed in 2024, Whittington posted 16 catches on 22 targets for 237 yards. Early reports are putting Nacua’s Week 7 matchup against the Jaguars in doubt.
Tight End Waiver Wire Targets | Week 7 Fantasy Football

Top Tight End Pickups | Week 7 Waiver Wire Adds Player Analysis
Tyler Higbee | Los Angeles Rams | 34% Rostership 2% FAAB
After battling injuries for the majority of the past two years, Tyler Higbee found the end zone for the first time this season. At 32 years old, Higbee is more of a bye week fill-in at tight end, but in the wasteland known as the tight end position, he has a pulse and is receiving targets, so he needs to be rostered.
Tommy Tremble | Carolina Panthers | 29% Rostership | 2% FAAB
Tommy Tremble was previously mentioned in an earlier waiver wire article. While his roster percentage has increased from 13%, he needs to be added as long as Ja’Tavion Sanders continues to miss time.
Over 50% Rostered Waiver Wire Players | Week 7 Fantasy Football
Other players who are great waiver wire additions but have over 50% rostership include: AJ Barner, Isaiah Bond, Kendrick Bourne, Kayshon Boutte, Dyami Brown, Isaiah Davis, Trevor Etienne, Joe Flacco, Ryan Flournoy, Dillon Gabriel, Oronde Gadsden, Theo Johnson, Mac Jones, Michael Mayer, Chig Okonkwo, Spencer Rattler, Sterling Shepard, Sean Tucker, Kimani Vidal, Malik Washington, and Parker Washington.

💬 FAQ | Week 7 Waiver Wire Fantasy Football Pickups
Q1: Who is the best Week 7 Waiver Wire pickup for dynasty and redraft fantasy football?
A: Zonovan Knight is the top Week 7 Waiver Wire pickup. With Emari Demercado injured, Knight now leads Arizona’s backfield and has scored in back-to-back games. He’s a priority add worth 8–10% FAAB across both formats.
Q2: Is Kyler Murray injured, and how much FAAB should I spend on Jacoby Brissett for Week 7?
A: Yes. Kyler Murray is dealing with a mid-foot sprain and could miss multiple weeks. Jacoby Brissett is expected to start again and should cost 2–5% FAAB in SuperFlex leagues after throwing 320 yards and 2 TD in Week 6.
Q3: Is Puka Nacua’s ankle injury serious, and how much FAAB should I spend on Jordan Whittington in redraft and dynasty?
A: Puka Nacua suffered an ankle injury that puts his Week 7 status in doubt. Jordan Whittington is the direct fill-in and a smart 4–5% FAAB add in redraft for immediate use and a low-cost dynasty stash with short-term flex upside.
Q4: Did Emeka Egbuka get a hamstring injury? Which Johnson wide receiver from Tampa Bay should I add for Week 7?
A: Yes. Emeka Egbuka left Week 6 with a hamstring injury. Both Kameron Johnson and Tez Johnson benefit in Tampa Bay, but Kameron is the safer volume add while Tez offers big-play upside. Prioritize Kameron first for consistent targets.
Q5: What’s the best dynasty waiver wire strategy for Week 7?
A: Focus on running back handcuffs (Zonovan Knight, Raheem Mostert) and injury replacements (Jordan Whittington, Kameron Johnson). Avoid overspending on short-term depth and save FAAB for post-bye breakouts or rookie stashes.
Q6: Should contenders and rebuilders approach the Week 7 Waiver Wire differently?
A: Yes. Contenders should prioritize short-term starters such as Jacoby Brissett or Jordan Whittington, while rebuilders should stash long-term upside players like Jimmy Horn or Zonovan Knight for potential trade value later.
Q7: Is it smarter to save FAAB for later or spend aggressively on Week 7 Waiver Wire targets?
A: Spend when a clear opportunity appears—like injuries creating immediate starters—but keep 25–30% of your FAAB for the final stretch. Smart managers balance early aggression with late-season flexibility for playoff pushes or rookie stashes.
