Players to Trade For | Week 7 Fantasy Football Trade Advice
Player | Team | Position | Trade Value Range | Ideal For | Analyst Notes |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Matthew Stafford | Rams | QB | Mid 2nd + late 3rd | Contenders | QB9 on the season averaging 19.9 PPG. Veteran buy for teams chasing a playoff run while Puka Nacua recovers. |
Isaiah Bond | Browns | WR | Early 3rd or swap for Juwan Johnson | Rebuilders | Emerging WR2 with consistent targets (5+ in 3 straight). Strong stash as Cleveland transitions offensive weapons. |
Jalen Royals | Chiefs | WR | 2026 3rd-round pick | Rebuilders | Rookie WR trending up with long-term value. Could be part of next year’s Chiefs core alongside Rashee Rice and Xavier Worthy. |
Matthew Stafford | QB | Rams | Week 7 Quarterback for Contenders
I want to be clear that this is a buy for contending teams only. Fellow Nerd Andrew Mott highlighted Matthew Stafford in Monday’s YouTube video as a buy. I will concede this is a short window for Stafford, who is 37 years old, and with Puka Nacua slated to miss some time due to injury. However, you can use those in your negotiations to help acquire Stafford for a second-round pick, and if you must throw in that third as well, to get the deal done. Stafford is averaging 19.9 fantasy points per game, which makes him QB9 on the season.
Isaiah Bond | WR | Browns | Week 7 Wide Receiver Trade for Rebuilders
If you haven’t read fellow writer Mike Johrendt’s breakout wide receivers article, be sure to check it out. Spoiler alert, in that article, he mentions Isaiah Bond as a stash candidate. I could not agree more. I have mentioned Bond as a name to check on your waiver wire in the past. Bond has seen at least five targets in each of his last three games and has taken the WR2 role away from Cedric Tillman, who continues to battle injuries.
Jalen Royals | WR | Chiefs | Week 7 Wide Receiver Trade For Rebuilders
Last week on the Dynasty Nerds podcast, Garret highlighted Jalen Royals as a trade target for rebuilding teams. Hollywood Brown, Travis Kelce, JuJu Smith-Schuster, and Tyquan Thornton are all on one-year deals. Next year, the receiving corps in Kansas City could consist of Rashee Rice, Jalen Royals, and Xavier Worthy. A 2026 third-round pick is a good starting point in your negotiations to acquire Royals.

Players to Trade Away | Week 7 Fantasy Football Trade Advice
Player | Team | Position | Trade Value Range | Ideal Move | Analyst Notes |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Justin Fields | Jets | QB | Early-to-mid 2nd | Sell before benching risk | Still starting but volatility remains high. Two soft matchups (CAR, CIN) could boost value, so sell if he rebounds. |
Quentin Johnston | Chargers | WR | Future 1st (2026 or 2027) or player swap (Kenneth Walker) | Capitalize on peak value | Finally producing, but Ladd McConkey looks like long-term WR1. Great time to move Johnston at max value. |
Juwan Johnson | Saints | TE | Mid 3rd or WR stash swap | Sell while name holds weight | Targets dropped from 9.7 to 3 per game. Move now before production dip catches up with market value. |
Justin Fields | QB | Jets | Week 6 Quarterback to Trade Away
I waited to add this as my final name trade away candidate, mostly because I fully expected New York Jets Head Coach Aaron Glen to make the change at quarterback and bench Justin Fields. However, as of this writing, Fields is still the starter in New York. Fields has a couple of bounce-back opportunities ahead against Carolina and Cincinnati that may help his trade value, but I would consider removing Fields from my roster. Given his upside value as a rusher, a second-round pick would be fair value for Fields.
Quentin Johnston | WR | Chargers | Week 7 Wide Receiver to Trade Away
One of the biggest surprises of 2025 has been the third-year breakout by Quentin Johnston. I was never the biggest Johnston believer coming into the NFL Draft, and I still believe that Ladd McConkey is the WR1 in Los Angeles. Currently, Johnston is at an all-time high for his trade value, and I would look to capitalize on it. Using the Dynasty Nerds App, I see Johnston consistently going for a 2026 or 2027 1st round pick. I also see Kenneth Walker as a common player swap for Johnston.
Juwan Johnson | TE | Saints | Week 7 Tight End to Trade Away
After three double-digit fantasy point performances to start the season, Juwan Johnson has had three straight single-digit performances. Johnson has seen his targets cut in half. He went from averaging 9.7 targets per game over the first three weeks to averaging 3.0 over the last three weeks. Seek out the Isaiah Bond manager and see if you can swap Johnson for Bond.
