Week 6 Start/Sit of the Week | Fantasy Football Player Rankings Tiers

John Hammersmith’s Week 6 Fantasy Football Player Rankings Tiers highlight his top “Starts of the Week” and “Sits of the Week” across all major positions, including QB, RB, WR, and TE.

Position Player Team Designation Notes
Quarterback Jordan Love Green Bay Packers Start of the Week Faces Cincinnati’s porous pass defense; coming off best game since Week 6 of 2024; strong streaming option.
Running Back Kyren Williams Los Angeles Rams Start of the Week Commanding elite 75%+ snap share; pacing for 70+ targets; high-ceiling play vs. Baltimore’s front.
Wide Receiver Drake London Atlanta Falcons Start of the Week WR5 pre-bye finish; faces elite Buffalo defense but projected for heavy target volume.
Tight End Dalton Kincaid Buffalo Bills Start of the Week 13.3 PPG; Red Zone chemistry with Allen; Buffalo’s WR1 in disguise
Quarterback Kyler Murray Arizona Cardinals Sit of the Week Averaging under 200 YPG; QB23 in PPG; Colts matchup unlikely to break slump.
Running Back Derrick Henry Baltimore Ravens Sit of the Week Averaging 37 rushing YPG with 2 fumbles; limited by tough Rams defensive front.
Wide Receiver Jerry Jeudy Cleveland Browns Sit of the Week Averaging only 6.9 PPG with poor catch rate; rookie QB and Isaiah Bond emerging.
Tight End Juwan Johnson New Orleans Saints Sit of the Week Target share dropped to 10%; snap rate and offensive volume both trending down.

Tier 1 | Quarterback Josh Allen Week 6 Stand Alone

Tier 1 Quarterback Rankings for Week 6 Fantasy Football Player Rankings Tiers Start Sit QB RB WR TE featuring Josh Allen.

Josh Allen | Buffalo Bills

Buffalo dropped its first game of the season, but Allen still delivered a strong fantasy outing and remains the clear-cut QB1. He’s topped 1,200 passing yards and nine TDs through the air while also leading all quarterbacks in rushing yards (212) and rushing TDs (3).

Tier 2 | Tier 1 | Elite Week 6 Quarterbacks

Tier 2 Quarterback Rankings for Week 6 Fantasy Football Player Rankings Tiers Start Sit QB RB WR TE featuring Patrick Mahomes, Caleb Williams, and Jayden Daniels.

Patrick Mahomes | Kansas City Chiefs

Back among the fantasy elite, Mahomes is carrying the Chiefs’ offense as the passing attack outpaces the run game and defense. He already leads the team in rushing yards and is tied for the lead in rushing TDs (3), putting him on pace to nearly double his career high for yards on the ground. The highest-scoring matchup on the slate sets up another big week.

Caleb Williams | Chicago Bears

Coming out of the bye, Williams ranks QB6 overall and seeks revenge after last year’s crushing Hail Mary loss. The “Ben Johnson effect” is real, Chicago has won two straight with Williams posting a QB1 overall performance versus Dallas. A bottom-third Washington pass defense gives him another chance to shine.

Jayden Daniels | Washington Commanders

The 2024 Rookie of the Year hasn’t produced a QB1 finish yet, averaging just 19 PPG (QB17). Chicago’s defense has struggled overall, but it’s stiffer against the pass (17th) than the run (31st). Daniels’ rushing average is down nearly three yards per carry from last year, a sign that his lingering injury is limiting his explosiveness.

Tier 3 | Week 6 Strong QB1 Options with Minimal Concerns

Tier 3 Quarterback Rankings for Week 6 Fantasy Football Player Rankings Tiers Start Sit QB RB WR TE featuring Jordan Love, Drake Maye, Dak Prescott, and Justin Herbert.

Start of the Week | Jordan Love | Green Bay Packers

Facing Cincinnati has practically guaranteed QB1 numbers this season. Love is coming off his best game since Week 6 of 2024 in the league’s highest-scoring tie. Still sitting at QB15 overall, he’s primed to climb after this matchup.

Drake Maye | New England Patriots

Though the box score was modest, Maye’s play was exceptional in a statement win over Buffalo. After three straight QB1 weeks and 87 rushing yards with two TDs on 20 carries, expect him to keep using his legs against a tough New Orleans secondary (top 10 vs the pass).

Dak Prescott | Dallas Cowboys

Averaging 271 yards per game and 11 TDs, both 2nd in the NFL, Prescott leads the league’s #1 offense. Carolina brings a top-10 pass defense into AT&T Stadium, so something’s got to give.

Justin Herbert | Los Angeles Chargers

Since his Week 1 QB5 finish, Herbert has been QB24 on a per-game basis. Offensive line issues have stalled the offense. Miami’s 29th-ranked defense offers relief, but he’ll have to overcome a that depleted O-line and the loss of Omarion Hampton.

Daniel Jones | Indianapolis Colts

Arizona’s #28 pass defense visits Indy, giving Jones (QB8 overall) a chance to rebound after two quiet weeks (QB26 PPG).

Tiers 4 – 6 for Week 6 Fantasy Football Start/Sit Quarterbacks

Tier 4 | Week 6 Streaming-Level Quarterbacks

Tier 4 Quarterback Rankings for Week 6 Fantasy Football Player Rankings Tiers Start Sit QB RB WR TE featuring Matthew Stafford, Baker Mayfield, Justin Fields, and Jared Goff.

Matthew Stafford | Los Angeles Rams

The NFL’s passing-yard leader (1,500) with 11 TDs, Stafford remains a fringe QB1 due to no rushing output (-4 yards on 11 attempts). Back-to-back QB4 finishes show his ceiling, and he should stay hot versus a disjointed Baltimore defense.

Baker Mayfield | Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Quietly the QB3 overall, Mayfield ranks 4th in passing yards (1,283), owns a 10-to-1 TD-INT ratio, and has added 147 yards rushing. San Francisco’s middling defense will need its best effort to contain the fiery 4-1 Bucs.

Justin Fields | New York Jets

Fourth in PPG, Fields faces his toughest test yet versus Denver’s #5 defense in London. His rushing ability provides a safe floor, but expect a capped ceiling this week.

Jared Goff | Detroit Lions

Outside his Week 2 QB1 explosion, Goff has been QB30 on a per-game basis. His 21-point bounce-back vs Cincy was expected, but Kansas City’s 8th-ranked pass defense should force Detroit to lean on Gibbs and Montgomery. Limited mobility hurts Goff’s ceiling at Arrowhead.

Bo Nix | New York Jets

After a QB6 finish vs Cincy, Nix followed up with a solid outing against Philly. The Jets rank 27th vs the run but 13th vs the pass, meaning Sean Payton will likely lean on his #4 rushing attack rather than Nix’s arm in London.

Tier 5 | Week 6 Quarterbacks with Some Risk

Tier 5 Quarterback Rankings for Week 6 Fantasy Football Player Rankings Tiers Start Sit QB RB WR TE featuring Sam Darnold, Trevor Lawrence, Mac Jones, and Kyler Murray.

Sit of the Week | Kyler Murray | Arizona Cardinals

Arizona’s offense lacks an identity, and Murray sits at QB23 in PPG, averaging under 200 yards per game with 6 TDs and 3 INTs. Still without a QB1 finish this season, a trip to face the red-hot Colts won’t change that.

Sam Darnold | Seattle Seahawks

Many credited KOC’s system for Darnold’s earlier success, but he’s looked legit this season, finishing QB2 last week despite the loss. Jacksonville ranks 11th vs the run and 27th vs the pass, giving Darnold another green-light matchup.

Trevor Lawrence | Jacksonville Jaguars

Fresh off his best outing, a QB4 finish over Kansas City, Lawrence flashed his underrated legs, rushing 10 times for 54 yards and two TDs. That newfound mobility could be a game-changer moving forward.

Mac Jones | San Francisco 49ers

The surprise QB11 in PPG, Jones continues his strong play under Kyle Shanahan. He was QB10 down the stretch last season behind Lawrence, and he’s replicating that form now. There’s no controversy here, butJones is producing while Purdy is sidelined.

Joe Flacco | Cincinnati Bengals

Is Cincinnati’s issue the QB or something else? Flacco steps in after a trade, hoping to reignite an elite supporting cast. He looked shaky before being benched in Cleveland, and this is his chance to prove he’s still got something left.

Tier 6 | Desperate Week 6 Starting Quarterbacks

Tier 6 Quarterback Rankings for Week 6 Fantasy Football Player Rankings Tiers Start Sit QB RB WR TE featuring Geno Smith, Spencer Rattler, Dillon Gabriel, Cam Ward

Geno Smith | Las Vegas Raiders

Outside his Week 3 spike against Washington, Smith ranks QB34 in PPG with a league-high 9 interceptions. His composure is fading, and perhaps his starting job soon will be too.

Dillon Gabriel | Cleveland Browns

In his pro debut, Gabriel looked poised despite losing on a last-minute Minnesota drive. He threw two TDs and played within himself, but his Week 6 trip to Pittsburgh will be a bigger test.

Tier 1 | Week 6 Elite Running Backs

Tier 1 Running Back Rankings for Week 6 Fantasy Football Player Rankings Tiers Start Sit QB RB WR TE featuring Christian McCaffrey, Bijan Robinson, Jonathan Taylor, and Jahmyr Gibbs.

The Elite Four

The top three running backs in PPG this season are Christian McCaffrey (#1), Jonathan Taylor (#2), and Bijan Robinson (#3). McCaffrey’s historic workload (on pace for 442 touches) is starting to raise durability concerns, but he remains fantasy’s crown jewel until it catches up. Jahmyr Gibbs (RB6) continues to flash RB1-overall upside any given week, and he plays

Tier 2 | Easy Week 6 Running Back Start Decisions

Tier 2 Running Back Rankings for Week 6 Fantasy Football Player Rankings Tiers Start Sit QB RB WR TE featuring Josh Jacobs, James Cook, De’Von Achane, and Kyren Williams.

Start of the Week | Kyren Williams | Los Angeles Rams

Back to commanding elite usage, over 75% of snaps and carries, Kyren Williams (RB10) is pacing for 70+ targets, nearly matching his last two seasons combined. Baltimore’s defense presents another opportunity for fantasy gold.

Josh Jacobs | Green Bay Packers

The RB9, averaging 18+ fantasy points per game, Josh Jacobs leads the league in carries (20 per game) but only 3.3 YPC. Volume is his edge, and Cincinnati’s defense should give him a chance for a more efficient outing.

De’Von Achane | Miami Dolphins

Second only to CMC in both targets and receptions among RBs, De’Von Achane is RB7 in PPG. Three of his four scores have come through the air, and with Tyreek Hill sidelined, he’ll see even more targets in Miami’s offense.

Javonte Williams | Dallas Cowboys

RB4 overall and averaging 20+ PPG, Javonte Williams has emerged as the workhorse for the NFL’s top offense. He’s on pace for 1,500 rushing yards and 20 TDs. With Carolina’s top-10 pass defense, expect Dallas to keep feeding its bell cow.

Quinshon Judkins | Cleveland Browns

The rookie standout (RB12) leads all first-year backs with 15.5 PPG. With a rookie QB under center for the foreseeable future, Quinshon Judkins will be leaned on heavily to steady the offense.

Tier 3 | Week 6 Upside Running Back Starts

Tier 3 Running Back Rankings for Week 6 Fantasy Football Player Rankings Tiers Start Sit QB RB WR TE featuring Ashton Jeanty, Breece Hall, Ken Walker III, Travis Etienne.

Ashton Jeanty | Las Vegas Raiders

After a slow start, Ashton Jeanty (RB14) has caught fire, RB2 overall over the last two weeks. With Geno Smith struggling, the Raiders will likely feature their explosive rookie against a one-win Titans squad.

Kenneth Walker III | Seattle Seahawks

The definition of boom-or-bust. Walker has two RB1 weeks but three outside the top-24. Limited passing-game usage caps his floor, while Zach Charbonnet actually leads the backfield in snaps. Jacksonville’s stout run defense (11th) could make this another volatile outing.

London Ground War Breece Hall & J.K. Dobbins | New York Jets & Denver Broncos

Another early-morning showdown abroad, Hall (RB18) and Dobbins (RB15) square off. Dobbins leads his team with 4 rushing TDs and ranks 5th in total rushing yards, while Hall sits 7th but remains scoreless. Expect a heavy-volume clash between two top-10 rushers.

Jacory Croskey-Merritt | Washington Commanders

Breakout alert: 111 yards rushing, 2 TDs, plus 2 receptions for 39 yards in Week 5. With Washington’s league-best rushing attack and Kingsbury’s RBBC wearing thin, JCM looks poised to seize the lead-back role.

Rico Dowdle | Carolina Panthers

“Chuba Who?” Dowdle’s breakout performance may have flipped Carolina’s depth chart. He’s averaging 1.5 more YPC and has forced 13 missed tackles to Hubbard’s zero. Facing his former team and a soft 23rd-ranked run defense, Dowdle has revenge-game upside.

Tiers 4 – 7 for Week 6 Fantasy Football Start/Sit Running Backs

Tier 4 | Week 6 Running Backs with Risk

Tier 4 Running Back Rankings for Week 6 Fantasy Football Player Rankings Tiers Start Sit QB RB WR TE featuring D'Andre Swift, Rachaad White, Jaylen Warren, Derrick Henry."

Sit of the Week | Derrick Henry | Baltimore Ravens

Since his Week 1 explosion, Henry’s averaged just 37 rushing yards with two fumbles and minimal receiving work. With Lamar Jackson out and a tough Rams front on deck, he’s back to TD-dependent status.

Rachaad White | Tampa Bay Buccaneers

With Bucky Irving sidelined, White reminded managers of 2023’s RB4 version of himself, posting two scores on 18 touches for RB7 in Week 5. Another start against a mid-tier 49ers run D keeps him in RB2 territory.

Jaylen Warren | Pittsburgh Steelers

The early-season RB14 returns from injury and a bye to face the league’s #1 rush defense. Warren’s four targets and 46 receiving yards per game provide a solid floor against Cleveland’s front.

Kenneth Gainwell | Pittsburgh Steelers

Gainwell shined in Warren’s absence with 140 total yards and two TDs (RB3 week). Warren’s return limits his upside, but his earned role keeps him on the radar, albeit in a brutal matchup with Cleveland.

Tier 5 | Volatile Week 6 Running Backs

Tier 5 Running Back Rankings for Week 6 Fantasy Football Player Rankings Tiers Start Sit QB RB WR TE featuring RJ Harvey, Zach Charbonnet, Chase Brown, TreVeyon Henderson.

Chase Brown | Cincinnati Bengals

The Bengals’ run game remains lifeless. Brown is under 3 YPC with zero TDs since Week 1. With Joe Flacco likely checking down more, there’s faint hope for a spark.

TreVeyon Henderson | New England Patriots

Week 5 marked Henderson’s largest snap share yet, and with Gibson out for the season and Stevenson’s consistent fumbling, a breakout feels imminent. The rookie’s earned praise from Vrabel, and the offense is starting to find its groove under their talented sophomore QB

Kansas City Backfield | Isiah Pacheco, Kareem Hunt, & Brashard Smith

“Committee Chaos.” A near 50/50 split has sapped all value here. Pacheco saw a season-high 62% of snaps, yet Hunt and Smith handled all the red-zone work. Until injuries clarify the pecking order, this is a stay-away backfield.

Kendre Miller | New Orleans Saints

Miller’s snap rate has climbed weekly, topping 40% in Week 5 while out-carrying Kamara. With Kamara nursing an ankle tweak, Miller could finally overtake him, though New England’s top-5 run defense isn’t ideal for a breakout.

Tyjae Spears | Tennessee Titans

The 2024 fantasy-playoff RB6 returns from injury, aiming to eat into Tony Pollard’s 89% snap share. Pollard’s usage is massive but inefficient (RB28, 12 PPG). Spears should see increased involvement starting this week.

Chargers Backfield | Kimani Vidal & Hassan Haskins

With Omarion Hampton on IR, this new RBBC will split work evenly. Vidal’s pass-catching gives him the edge, while Haskins handles short-yardage and goal-line duties. Both are flex flyers, but Vidal carries the higher upside.

Tier 6 | Week 6 Running Backs with High Risk

Tier 6 Running Back Rankings for Week 6 Fantasy Football Player Rankings Tiers Start Sit QB RB WR TE featuring Michael Carter, Tyler Allgeier, Brian Robinson, Blake Corum.

Arizona Backfield | Michael Carter, Emari Demercado, & Bam Knight

“Desert Disaster.” With Conner and Benson on IR, Michael Carter dominated snaps (60%) and carries (72%). After Emari Demercado’s costly fumble, expect Carter to keep control of this backfield versus Indy’s stingy run D (under 100 YPG allowed).

High-Value Handcuffs Tyler Allgeier, Brian Robinson, Blake Corum, Ollie Gordon, & Bhayshul Tuten

Each of these backs, Tyler Allgeier, Brian Robinson, Blake Corum, Ollie Gordon, and Bhayshul Tuten, owns a 15–25% snap share. They’re not startable now, but each one is a premium stash should an injury strike.

Tier 7 | Desperation Week 6 Running Backs

Tier 7 Running Back Rankings for Week 6 Fantasy Football Player Rankings Tiers Start Sit QB RB WR TE featuring Kyle Monangai, Emanuel Wilson, Jaydon Blue, Samaje Perine."

Jaydon Blue | Dallas Cowboys

The rookie fifth-rounder finally saw the field but remains purely a stash. This is still Javonte’s backfield unless injury opens a door.

Samaje Perine | Cincinnati Bengals

Seeing nearly 50% of snaps, Perine is quietly gaining traction. With less mobility from Flacco and Chase Brown struggling (under 2.5 YPC), Perine’s pass protection and reliability could earn him more touches.

MarShawn Lloyd | Green Bay Packers

Drafted to spell Jacobs, Lloyd is being eased into a complementary role. He’s a bench stash with upside if Jacobs’ massive workload catches up to him.

Tier 1 | The Top Two Wide Receivers in Week 6

Tier 1 Wide Receiver Rankings for Week 6 Fantasy Football Player Rankings Tiers Start Sit QB RB WR TE featuring Puka Nacua, Amon-Ra St. Brown.

Puka Nacua & Amon Ra St. Brown | Los Angeles Rams & Detroit Lions

The top two fantasy WRs, and it’s not close. Puka Nacua is lapping the field, scoring nearly 4.5 PPG more than Amon-Ra St. Brown, who himself has a 2 PPG lead over WR3. Nacua’s 52 receptions are 17 more than St. Brown’s total. These two have given managers a weekly edge with no slowdown in sight.

Tier 2 | Elite Wide Receivers for Week 6

Tier 2 Wide Receiver Rankings for Week 6 Fantasy Football Player Rankings Tiers Start Sit QB RB WR TE featuring Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Rome Odunze, Drake London, George Pickens.

Start of the Week | Drake London | Atlanta Falcons

Expectations were sky-high, but Drake London hadn’t delivered until his pre-bye WR5 finish (25 points and his first TD of the year). Facing Buffalo’s elite defense (#2 vs the pass), London and Michael Penix Jr. will try to keep the momentum alive in what projects as one of Week 6’s higher-scoring games.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba | Seattle Seahawks

Tied for WR4 in PPG, Jaxon Smith-Njigba is delivering on the offseason hype following the trade of D.K. Metcalf. He ranks 3rd in receptions and 2nd in yards (behind Nacua). The Seahawks sit 5th in both passing and scoring offense, and Smith-Njigba is the engine driving that success.

Rome Odunze | Chicago Bears

The sophomore star is emerging as the Bears’ alpha, averaging 19.9 PPG and commanding 25% of targets with 5 TDs. The Williams-to-Rome Odunze connection is building weekly chemistry, and a matchup with a stout Bills #2 pass defense will test just how high this ceiling goes..

George Pickens | Dallas Cowboys

Since CeeDee Lamb’s ankle injury, George Pickens has been tied with St. Brown as the WR3 in fantasy (21.6 PPG). Even against Carolina’s top-10 pass defense, his target volume and chemistry with Dak Prescott keep him locked in as a must-start option.

Ja’Marr Chase | Cincinnati Bengals

Cincinnati finally made a change, acquiring Joe Flacco to stabilize the offense and get the ball to Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins. Chase’s 17.5 PPG (WR10) have been inconsistent; over 75% of his fantasy points came from just two games, and Green Bay’s #4 defense won’t make life easy. Still, a QB upgrade gives him hope.

Tier 3 | Week 6 Wide Receivers with Strong Upside

Tier 3 Wide Receiver Rankings for Week 6 Fantasy Football Player Rankings Tiers Start Sit QB RB WR TE featuring Emeka Egbuka, Garrett Wilson, Tetairoa McMillan, Courtland Sutton.

Emeka Egbuka | Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The early favorite for Rookie of the Year, Emeka Egbuka, has exploded since Mike Evans went down, torching Seattle for 7 catches, 163 yards, and a TD (WR1 overall in Week 5). He sits as the WR3 on the season and should remain a focal point against San Francisco.

Garrett Wilson | New York Jets & Courtland Sutton | Denver Broncos

The London showdown features two top-12 receivers. Garrett Wilson (WR5) owns a 30% target share with 382 yards and 4 TDs, while Cortland Sutton (WR11) has 26 receptions for 365 yards and 3 TDs.

Michael Pittman Jr. | Indianapolis Colts

After a down year in 2024, Michael Pittman Jr. has rebounded under Daniel Jones. He leads the team in targets (34), receptions (26), and TDs (4), sitting at WR13 with 15.5 PPG. Facing Arizona’s #28 pass defense (250+ YPG allowed), another WR1 week is within reach.

Jaylen Waddle | Miami Dolphins

With Tyreek Hill out for the season, Jaylen Waddle stepped up with a WR10 finish (6 for 110 and a TD). He should return to his rookie-year target levels (140+), and even against the Chargers’ stout secondary, volume keeps his floor strong.

Tiers 4 – 7 for Week 6 Fantasy Football Start/Sit Wide Receivers

Tier 4 | Wide Receivers with Some Risk but High Ceilings Week 6

Tier 4 Wide Receiver Rankings for Week 6 Fantasy Football Player Rankings Tiers Start Sit QB RB WR TE featuring Brian Thomas Jr., Xavier Worthy, Deebo Samuel, Stefon Diggs.

Brian Thomas Jr. | Jacksonville Jaguars

Despite leading the 4-1 Jaguars in targets (37), Brian Thomas Jr. has yet to reward fantasy managers (48 points total). His opportunity remains elite, and Seattle’s top-3 run defense should force more passes and could yield his best outing yet.

Xavier Worthy | Kansas City Chiefs

After a slow start from his shoulder injury, Xavier Worthy has been top-10 in targets over the past two weeks and is WR21 in that span. Facing Detroit in a likely shootout, he offers massive upside.

Deebo Samuel | Washington Commanders

Expected to play behind Terry McLaurin, Deebo Samuel has taken over as the Commanders’ #1 option while McLaurin remains out. Now WR8 in PPG, he’s thriving regardless of whether it’s Mariota or Daniels under center. He’ll remain a focal point this week.

Stefon Diggs | New England Patriots

After just 15 targets through three games, Stefon Diggs has become Drake Maye’s go-to weapon, averaging 20.4 PPG over the last two weeks. He leads the team in all receiving categories, and the TDs will come. New Orleans (#9 vs pass) is a tough draw, but his target share keeps him safe.

Chargers WR Trio | Keenan Allen, Quentin Johnston, and Ladd McConkey

This group is a weekly roulette wheel. Ladd McConkey finally scored his first TD last week and led the group in fantasy points. Keenan Allen leads in targets and receptions, while Quentin Johnston leads in yards, TDs, and overall fantasy points. All three are startable against Miami, but predicting the leader is a coin flip.

Tier 5 | Week 6 Second Wide Receiver Options and Strong Flex

Tier 5 Wide Receiver Rankings for Week 6 Fantasy Football Player Rankings Tiers Start Sit QB RB WR TE featuring Jameson Williams, D.J. Moore, Ladd McConkey, Tee Higgins."

Sit of the Week | Jerry Jeudy | Cleveland Browns

Averaging only 6.9 PPG, Jerry Jeudy has been a liability. A sub-50% catch rate and five drops don’t help, and now a rookie QB takes over. His effort looks questionable, and rookie Isaiah Bond could soon out-target him.

Jameson Williams | Detroit Lions

Despite the offseason hype, Jameson Williams has been a boom-or-mostly bust deep threat behind St. Brown. Averaging 20 YPR but just two catches per game, his ceiling is huge in shootouts, but the floor is frightening.

Zay Flowers | Baltimore Ravens

Zay Flowers has seen his targets plummet since Week 2, just five per game and under 20% share. With Lamar Jackson still out and the offense disjointed, Flowers has been trapped in flex WR territory.

Tee Higgins | Cincinnati Bengals

As bad as it’s been for Chase, it’s worse for Tee Higgins, who averages only 8 PPG. Flacco should help, but there’s no guarantee it’s enough to reignite the offense against a rested Packers unit.

Romeo Doubs | Green Bay Packers

A three-TD pre-bye explosion vaulted Romeo Doubs into the team lead for fantasy points. Cincinnati’s 30th-ranked defense offers a chance to keep rolling.

Tier 6 | Week 6 Wide Receivers with Risk

Tier 6 Wide Receiver Rankings for Week 6 Fantasy Football Player Rankings Tiers Start Sit QB RB WR TE featuring Cooper Kupp, Josh Downs, Jauan Jennings, Tre Tucker."

Josh Downs | Indianapolis Colts

Clearly third in the pecking order behind Pittman and Tyler Warren, Josh Downs is seeing five targets per game for under 9 YPR and no TDs. A weak Arizona secondary can’t save a player without a defined role.

Tre Tucker | Las Vegas Raiders

After his Week 3 WR1 overall spike, Tre Tucker has returned to irrelevance with just four targets per game. Geno Smith’s struggles and the return of Brock Bowers will limit his chances.

Calvin Ridley | Tennessee Titans

A 20% target share means little when Calvin Ridley catches less than half his passes. Elic Ayomanor has outproduced him across the board, but a matchup against Las Vegas’s porous defense offers a “get-right” opportunity.

Denver WR2 | Troy Franklin & Marvin Mims Jr.

It’s been a roller-coaster, Troy Franklin was a WR1 in Week 2, Marvin Mims Jr. in Week 4. Both have explosive speed and minimal consistency. Boom-or-bust flex options with equal risk and reward.

Tier 7 | Desperate Week 6 Wide Receiver Options

Tier 7 Wide Receiver Rankings for Week 6 Fantasy Football Player Rankings Tiers Start Sit QB RB WR TE featuring Dontayvion Wicks, Travis Hunter, Elic Ayomanor, Tyquan Thornton

Travis Hunter | Jacksonville Jaguars

Travis Hunter posted his best receiving yardage day yet and finally saw more downfield targets. Still, under 10 points is hardly usable, he needs to show a real ceiling before earning flex consideration.

Dontayvion Wicks & Matthew Golden | Green Bay Packers

In a passing offense lacking a clear alpha, Dontayvion Wicks and Matthew Golden each have sneaky ceiling potential. Cincinnati’s weak secondary makes both deep dart throws this week.

Isaiah Bond | Cleveland Browns

Seeing a season-high seven targets last week with Dillon Gabriel’s first start was a great sign for Isaiah Bond. As Cleveland evaluates its younger talent, expect his role to keep growing.

Tier 1 | Week 6 Elite Tight End Start Decisions

Tier 1 Tight End Rankings for Week 6 Fantasy Football Player Rankings Tiers Start Sit QB RB WR TE featuring Trey McBride, Tyler Warren, Jake Ferguson, Tucker Kraft

Trey McBride | Arizona Cardinals

When you drafted Trey McBride, you expected a weekly positional edge, but five weeks in, he sits at just TE8 in PPG despite a massive 25% target share. Averaging under 10 yards per reception with a 6.8 aDOT, he’s been limited by Kyler Murray’s 77% catchable ball rate. Still, as the first read on over 30% of passing plays, McBride remains a difference-making talent whose struggles reflect the offense, not the player.

Tyler Warren | Indianapolis Colts

Leading all tight ends in receiving yards (307), rookie Tyler Warren has quickly become a star. He’s averaging 13.4 yards per catch, showing strong YAC ability, and serving as the clear #2 option in a surging Colts offense. Daniel Jones’ trust in him is evident and the targets keep flowing.

Jake Ferguson | Dallas Cowboys

The TE1 overall is averaging nearly 10 targets per game with 41 receptions, 272 yards, and 3 TDs. With CeeDee Lamb sidelined, Jake Ferguson remains the clear #2 in the passing game and one of the most reliable fantasy producers at the position.

Tucker Kraft | Green Bay Packers

Arguably Green Bay’s best receiver, Tucker Kraft sits as TE6 with 12.7 PPG. Coming off the bye healthy, he draws a soft Cincinnati defense and should pad the stat sheet as Jordan Love’s most consistent weapon.

Tier 2 | Tight End Easy Week 6 Start Decisions

Tier 2 Tight End Rankings for Week 6 Fantasy Football Player Rankings Tiers Start Sit QB RB WR TE featuring Brock Bowers, Hunter Henry, Dalton Kincaid, Travis Kelce.

Start of the Week | Dalton Kincaid | Buffalo Bills

The post-hype breakout looks real. Dalton Kincaid has emerged as TE3 (13.3 PPG) with steady volume and red-zone usage. In a balanced offense lacking a true WR1, he’s become a key part of Josh Allen’s weekly game plan.

Brock Bowers | Las Vegas Raiders

The post-injury version of Brock Bowers hasn’t looked the same. Combined with Geno Smith’s inconsistency, you get a player averaging under 10 PPG, far from the difference-maker managers drafted him to be.

Darren Waller | Miami Dolphins

From retirement in 2024 to TE1 in PPG in 2025, Darren Waller has revived his career. He’s thriving in a limited role that should expand following the loss of Tyreek Hill. Even if the TD pace cools, increased snap share and volume should keep him in the top tier.

Kyle Pitts | Atlanta Falcons

Finally used properly, Kyle Pitts lines up in the slot or out wide on over half his snaps, creating mismatches and consistent 12 PPG production (TE10). Averaging six targets per game, he’s a steady weekly option with spike-week potential. A high-scoring matchup versus Buffalo should help.

Tier 3 | Week 6 Tight Ends with Risk

Tier 3 Tight End Rankings for Week 6 Fantasy Football Player Rankings Tiers Start Sit QB RB WR TE featuring Darren Waller, Kyle Pitts, Mason Taylor, Zach Ertz.

Sit of the Week | Juwan Johnson | New Orleans Saints

Falling to a 10% target share in recent weeks, Juwan Johnson faces increasing competition with Foster Moreau and Taysom Hill, both likely carving out roles. His snap share has slipped from 99% to 85%, and New Orleans’ limited passing volume doesn’t support multiple fantasy options.

Mason Taylor | New York Jets

A training-camp injury delayed his development, but Mason Taylor has arrived. The rookie is now the Jets’ #2 target behind Garrett Wilson, averaging 14.6 PPG over the last two weeks. A London matchup with Denver may lower his ceiling, but the opportunity remains steady.

Zach Ertz | Washington Commanders

With Terry McLaurin still out, Zach Ertz is the team’s #2 target. He offers a reliable floor with limited upside against Chicago’s forgiving pass defense.

Evan Engram | Denver Broncos

Evan Engram is seeing under 50% of snaps and just a 12% target share, a disappointing usage rate for fantasy managers. Without volume, he’s a volatile play dependent on broken coverage or red-zone luck.

Jonnu Smith | Pittsburgh Steelers

Ranking second on his team in receptions, Jonnu Smith carries an absurdly low 0.6-yard aDOT, yes, less than one yard. These low-value targets cap his fantasy ceiling at a modest 6.8 PPG.

Tiers 4 & 5 for Week 6 Fantasy Football Start/Sit Tight Ends

Tier 4 | Week 6 Tight End Options for 2 TE Leagues

Tier 4 Tight End Rankings for Week 6 Fantasy Football Player Rankings Tiers Start Sit QB RB WR TE featuring Ja'Tavion Sanders, Jonnu Smith, David Njoku, Harold Fannin Jr.

Cleveland Tight Ends | David Njoku & Harold Fannin Jr.

Cleveland’s TE room is pure chaos. David Njoku and Harold Fannin Jr. alternate relevance weekly, with neither commanding steady volume. Until an injury or trade clarifies roles, this remains a frustrating timeshare.

Tyler Higbee | Los Angeles Rams

Against Baltimore, any receiver can pop, and Tyler Higbee remains a favorite of Matthew Stafford. With Puka Nacua and Davante Adams combining for over 50% of targets, Higbee’s a TD dependant option.

Tier 5 | Desperation Week 6 Tight Ends

Tier 5 Tight End Rankings for Week 6 Fantasy Football Player Rankings Tiers Start Sit QB RB WR TE featuring Jake Tonges, Mark Andrews, Isaiah Likely, Oronde Gadsden

Jake Tonges | San Francisco 49ers

Don’t look now, but Jake Tonges has quietly led the 49ers in targets the past two weeks, producing 10 catches for 99 yards and 2 TDs (TE7 in that span). If Ricky Pearsall and Jauan Jennings remain out, Tonges should continue absorbing those vacated looks.

Baltimore Tight Ends | Mark Andrews & Isaiah Likely

This room is loaded with talent but short on stability. Mark Andrews remains the alpha, yet Isaiah Likely’s role is creeping upward as he regains health. Without Lamar Jackson, though, the entire group carries more downside than upside for fantasy managers.
