We turned in another solid week in Week 13, finishing with a 58.3% overall hit rate and continuing our strong trend across the second half of the season. Our start hit rate landed at 50%, which isn’t where we want it to be heading into such a critical stretch, but the sit hit rate (66.6%) and streaming accuracy (66.6%) helped balance things out. This marks the sixth time this season we’ve hit at least 66% in two or more categories. Our top performer, Jaylen Watson (CB3), delivered a massive outing to anchor the week. As always, I appreciate all of you sticking with the process as we keep grinding to finish the regular season strong.

Players to Start | Week 14 IDP Fantasy Football

Defensive Line | Week 14 IDP Start Sit

Player Team Opponent Snap% Start
Joseph Ossai Bengals Bills 66%
Jalyx Hunt Eagles Chargers 65%

Joseph Ossai | DL | Cincinnati Bengals

We get our defensive line content started with one of the hottest late-season waiver-wire players, Joseph Ossai. The Bengals’ EDGE rusher was highlighted in Week 13 after coming off three straight games of 10 fantasy points or more. Ossai has 17 of his 37 total pressures on the season over the previous four games.

Joseph Ossai is the DL8 overall over the past three games, averaging 20.3 fantasy points per game. He has a great chance to extend his streak of double-digit points in Week 14, facing the Bills, who have allowed 2.3 sacks per game and rank 4th in tackles allowed to the DL position. This matchup makes Ossai a strong start this week.

Jalyx Hunt | DL | Philadelphia Eagles

After last season’s Super Bowl run, Jalyx Hunt has been a player who has been steadily increasing his dynasty value. Hunt had 1.5 sacks on his way to contributing to the Philadelphia Eagles’ Super Bowl Championship. He has continued to improve and is the DL48 this season, with double-digit fantasy points in 58% of his games. He has a career high in defensive snap share (65%). I love his chances this week against the Los Angeles Chargers’ offensive line, which has allowed nearly 4 sacks per game over its previous 3 games.

Linebackers | IDP Week 14 Start Sit

Player Team Opponent Snap% Start
Shaq Thompson Bills Bengals 62%
Azeez Al-Shaair Texans Chiefs 98%

Shaq Thompson | LB | Buffalo Bills

It should come as no surprise to the loyal IDP Nerds who have listened to me about stashing Shaq Thompson. The veteran linebacker has been a rotational player for most of the season, but when he has played, it’s clear he can still produce. Thompson has four games with double-digit fantasy points, which is more than starting LB Matt Milano and two games with 20 fantasy points, which is more than the Bills’ highest scoring LB Terrel Bernard.

The 11-year veteran will continue to start at LB for the Buffalo defense. Fantasy managers should love this week’s matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals offense, which has surrendered 16.9 tackles per game to the linebacker position. Thompson will be a reliable starter for your team as the regular season concludes this week.

Azeez Al-Shaair | LB | Houston Texans

We have preached fading the Houston Texans’ linebackers this season, and for good reason: their highest-scoring LB, Azeez Al-Shaair, is the LB40 heading into the final week of the regular season. The lack of impact plays has significantly affected the veteran LB; his 79 tackles rank 50th in the NFL this season. The Kansas City Chiefs have been a favorable matchup for linebackers over the previous three games, allowing the third most tackles per game (20). The Texans’ veteran LB should be able to produce a safe enough tackle floor to reward managers with him in their lineups.

Week 14 Defensive Backs | IDP Start Sit

Player Team Opponent Snap% Start
Kevin Winston Titans Browns 56%
Jessie Bates Falcons Seahawks 98%

Kevin Winston | DB | Tennessee Titans

he strategy of high-performing rookie IDPs late in the season is effective. Tennessee Titans rookie defensive back Kevin Winston is the latest proof of that. Winston, who did not play a single snap until Week 6, has been blazing hot over the last three games. Winston was a player to watch in the Week 10 Waiver Wire, and he hasn’t disappointed managers.

Since Week 11, Winston is the DB9 overall, and since Week 12, he is the DB5 overall in fantasy points. The Penn State product is really making waves late in the season and making a case for IDP managers to have him high in their rankings as the 2026 season approaches. Coming off back-to-back 20-point performances, I don’t see a reason not to have Kevin Winston in your lineups.

Jessie Bates | DB | Atlanta Falcons

The Atlanta Falcons will need their defense to step up big in Week 14 as they have a matchup against the NFL’s leading wide receiver, Jaxon Smith-Njigba. They will lean on their veteran safety Jessie Bates to help slow him down. Bates himself started the season slow compared to his standards, but has eclipsed at least 10 fantasy points in 7 of his last 8 games. The Seahawks’ offense ranks in the top 10 in tackle efficiency allowed to the safety position this season. Sam Darnold has also thrown 5 of his 10 interceptions this season over the previous month of the season. IDP managers can start Jessie Bates with confidence in Week 14.

Top IDPs to Stream in Week 14 | Start/Sit Fantasy Football Advice

Player Pos Team Opponent Stream
Moro Ojmo DT Eagles Chargers
Deone Walker DT Bills Bengals
Will Johnson CB Cardinals Rams
Decobie Durant CB Rams Cardinals

Moro Ojomo | DT | Philadelphia Eagles

Philadelphia Eagles DT Moro Ojomo has been a solid contributor this season. He’s averaging 9 FPPG while playing 65% of the defensive snaps this season. He will step into a larger role with the recent injury to DT Jalen Carter. Ojomo will see more opportunities, and a matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers’ vulnerable offensive line makes him a solid streaming option.

Deone Walker | DT | Buffalo Bills

Streaming the DT position always comes with risk. The boom or bust potential is always there, and streaming rookies could be the recipe you need to pull off a miracle to get you into the playoffs. Deone Walker of the Buffalo Bills is in a lovely spot with the Cincinnati Bengals this week, who have allowed just under 15 tackles per game to the DL position over the last three games.

Will Johnson | CB | Arizona Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinals found a player in cornerback Will Johnson. The former Michigan Wolverine has 30 fantasy points over his last two starts. The Los Angeles Rams are 1 of 4 teams to allow 165 tackles or more to the CB position this season. Johnson should find himself targeted often on Sunday, trying to stop one of the best WR duos in the NFL in Davante Adams and Puka Nacua.

Decobie Durant | CB | Los Angeles Rams

We stay in the same game and turn to Decobie Durant as another streaming option at the cornerback position. The Arizona Cardinals allowed a league-leading 19 tackles per game to the position over the previous 3 games. The Rams’ DB has double-digit performances in 3 of his last 4, which should give managers the confidence to put him in your lineup this week.

Players to Sit | Week 14 IDP Start/Sit

Player Pos Team Opponent Recommendation
Chop Robinson DL Dolphins Jets 🚫
Frankie Luvu LB Commanders Vikings 🚫
Grant Delpit DB Browns Titans 🚫
Chop Robinson | DL | Miami Dolphins

I was completely fading the Miami Dolphins’ defensive line after an extremely slow start to the season. After the trade of Jaelan Phillips, I had slight hope for Chop Robinson. Unfortunately, the former first-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft has struggled for most of the season. Robinson is coming off his best game of the season in Week 13 with a 24-point performance. This is only his second game above 10 fantasy points all season.

At this point, I’m chalking up the 2025 season as a loss for Chop Robinson in hopes he can rebound next season. The data points to another week to fade the young pass rusher. The New York Jets have allowed the 4th fewest tackles per game to opposing defensive linemen this season. Robinson failed to record a stat against the Jets in Week 4 despite playing 35% of the defensi

Frankie Luvu | LB | Washington Commanders

The Washington Commanders’ defense has been a mess this season, and unfortunately, Frankie Luvu has been right in the middle of the problem. After a strong LB24 finish last year, he’s fallen all the way to LB45, and the inconsistency has become nearly impossible for IDP managers to stomach. Luvu has failed to hit double-digit fantasy points in half of his games, offering a floor that can sink your matchup before it ever gets going. With so many late-season linebacker options emerging across the league, there’s simply no justification for relying on a player who could blow up your playoff hopes in the most critical week of the year.

Grant Delpit | DB | Cleveland Browns

I’m a man of my word. I said last week that if Grant Delpit couldn’t come through in the most favorable safety matchup on the board, he’d officially lose my trust—and here we are. Now he draws one of the worst possible spots for safeties, with the Tennessee Titans allowing just 8 tackles per game to the position over their last three contests. At this point in the season, with so much on the line, there’s no reason to roll out a player who has consistently let IDP managers down. Week 14 offers plenty of higher-upside DB options, and this is the time to lean into streaming rather than forcing Delpit into lineups.

Hidden IDP Gems | Week 14 Fantasy Football Start/Sit

Carson Schwesinger is on pace to break Patrick Willis’ rookie record for tackles (136)

• Crazy Myles Garrett stat: 57% of his total tackles on the season have been credited as a tackle for loss (TFL). His 28 TFLs are 10 more than the next-closest player.

Maxx Crosby has returned to form, recording his seventh game of 25 fantasy points or more this season.

Kamren Curl leads all defensive backs with 63 solo tackles. He is the DB2 on the season.

Dallas Turner recorded his first-ever 40-point performance in Week 13. Twelve other IDPs joined him, scoring

Cedric Gray’s breakout season continues; he’s LB3 overall, has recorded double-digit FP in 10 straight games, and ranks 2nd in the NFL in tackles.

🧠 FAQ | Week 14 IDP Start Sit Fantasy Football

Q1: Who are the strongest IDP start recommendations for Week 14?

A: Top Week 14 IDP starts include Joseph Ossai, Jalyx Hunt, Shaq Thompson, Azeez Al-Shaair, Kevin Winston, and Jessie Bates. Ossai enters the week as the DL8 over the last three games, Hunt has a premium sack matchup against the Chargers, Thompson draws a Cincinnati offense allowing 16.9 tackles per game to linebackers, and Winston continues his late-season breakout as the DB5 since Week 12.

Q2: Which IDP players should managers avoid in Week 14?

A: Recommended sits include Chop Robinson, Frankie Luvu, and Grant Delpit. Robinson has only two double-digit games all season and faces a Jets offense that allows minimal DL production. Luvu has become too inconsistent to trust in a must-win week. Delpit draws one of the worst matchups for safeties and has not delivered when needed most.

Q3: Who are the top streaming options for Week 14?

A: Strong streamers include Moro Ojomo, Deone Walker, Will Johnson, and Decobie Durant. Ojomo steps into a larger role with Jalen Carter sidelined, Walker faces a Bengals offense allowing steady tackle volume to the DL, Johnson has 30 points over his last two starts, and Durant draws an Arizona offense allowing a league-high 19 tackles per game to CBs.

Q4: Which under-the-radar IDPs could break out in Week 14?

A: Keep an eye on Kevin Winston and Jalyx Hunt. Winston is surging late in the season and looks like a league-winning DB option with back-to-back 20-point games. Hunt has an expanded snap share and a prime pass-rush matchup against a struggling Chargers offensive line.

Q5: How should fantasy managers approach Week 14 as the final week before the playoffs?

A: Prioritize high-floor usage and predictable tackle volume. This isn’t the week to gamble on low-snap sack-dependent players. Avoid unnecessary risk—especially at DB and LB—where zeros or low outputs can swing matchups. Streaming is absolutely viable in Week 14, especially with rookies and depth players stepping into full-time roles.

Q6: What trends are influencing IDP performance heading into Week 14?

A: Rookie defenders continue to surge—Kevin Winston, Cody Simon, and Jalyx Hunt are all seeing expanded roles at the perfect time. Meanwhile, veterans like Maxx Crosby and Jessie Bates have regained form. Linebacker volatility remains high due to injuries, and tackle efficiency trends should be weighed heavily in start/sit decisions.

Q7: What’s the best strategy for maximizing IDP output in must-win Week 14 matchups?

A: Lean into matchup certainty, snap consistency, and recent trend lines. Favor defenders playing 80–100% of snaps, especially those in high-volume tackle games. Identify offenses that offer significant opportunities for their position group. And above all, don’t cling to struggling big-name players in bad matchups. This is the week to be aggressive and trust the data.
