Ole Miss fans prematurely stormed the field during their team’s upset win over Georgia on Saturday, and Lane Kiffin was not happy about it.
Georgia was trailing Ole Miss 28-10 and had a 4th-and-20 from their own 15-yard line with 27 seconds remaining at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in Oxford, Mississippi. Carson Beck completed a pass to Arian Smith, who did not get to the first-down marker. That led to a turnover on downs with 16 seconds left.
Ole Miss still needed to kneel out the remaining 16 seconds. Rebels fans could not wait to begin their celebration, however, and they stormed the field before the game ended. Kiffin was shown on the ESPN broadcast looking furious.
