Travis d’Arnaud returns to lineup for game 2 against Padres

Travis d’Arnaud is back in the Atlanta Braves’ lineup for the second game of Monday’s doubleheader against the San Diego Padres. Chris Sale will get the start for Atlanta while San Diego will go with right-hander Randy Vásquez.

d’Arnaud exited Friday’s game after taking a foul ball off his face mask. The Braves said he left the game due to dizziness, but further testing revealed that he did not suffer a concussion. He sat out Sunday’s game and the first game of Monday’s doubleheader. Adam Duvall also gets a start in left field in game two and will bat sixth.

For the Padres, Luis Arraez starts at second base for the injured Xander Bogaerts. Manny Machado slides over to DH with Donovan Solano getting the start at third base. Kyle Higashioka will be behind the plate and hitting ninth.

First pitch is scheduled for 6:20 p.m. ET and can be seen on Bally Sports Southeast.
