Tampa Bay Rays 2026 Minor League Roundup: Week 9

This was the 9th week of full minor league play (stats are entering play on Sunday, June 7th).

According to FanGraphs (which factors in age and proximity to the big leagues), 22-year old Caden Bodine remains the top hitter spot in the Rays system. The backstop was recently added to Baseball America’s top 100 prospect rankings (80) and is up to 4th in the Rays system.

Meanwhile, Michael Forret is still the top performing pitcher system. Forret has a brief stay on Baseball America’s top 100 earlier this season and was up to 3rd in the Rays system. However, he was later dropped out of the top ten despite his performance remaining consistent. Thus far in 2026, Forret has a 2.15 ERA | 4.30 FIP with a 26.5 K% & 10.4 BB% over 54.1 IP.

Adrian Santana has been placed on the 7-day Injured List. The 20-year old switch hitting shortstop is currently having the best year of his professional career since being selected 31st overall in 2023. Santana has added morepower to his game and is striking out at the lowest clip of his career. Prior to going on the IL, he was hitting .309/.379/.394 with 3 HR over 213 PA.
Brody Hopkins may have discovered his nitch; the bulk guy. He has now made two appearances out of the bullpen and has allowed just 1 hit over 10 IP, while racking up 16 strikeouts and 3 walks.
Chris Clark, the 24-year old right-handed pitcher acquired along with Gavin Lux, is having a solid year in Double-A. He was originally in Triple-A and in the bullpen, then switched to the starting rotation after being sent down to Double-A for several weeks before being moved back to the bullpen. Between Double-A and Triple-A this year, he has a 3.40 ERA | 3.97 FIP with a 25.8 K% & 9.7 BB% over 39.2 IP.
