Sights and sounds from New York Giants-New York Jets joint practice

The New York Giants and New York Jets locked up for a joint practice on Wednesday at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Florham Park, New Jersey.

Leading up to the practice, Giants head coach Brian Daboll and Jets head coach Robert Saleh preached peace to their players, urging the two teams to avoid the melees that plagued Giants-Detroit Lions joint practices last week.

The pleas worked as the two teams carried out a physical, but otherwise uneventful practice.

Although filming was only permitted during the early portion of practice, below is a look at some of the sights and sounds (and reports) from throughout the day.

First Sauce Gardner v Malik Nabers matchup. Shifty move over the middle and Nabers gets open. Good gain. Three Jones passes — all thrown to Nabers. Lone completion the one v Gardner so far. Really impressive route in space.

Will McDonald & Jermaine Johnson just combined for a sack on Daniel Jones. Johnson likely would have had the solo sack (around Andrew Thomas). Play continued, which allowed McDonald to get in.

Deonte Banks and Tre Hawkins on the outside with Dru Phillips in the slot. Rodgers just tried Wilson deep with Banks covering and ball was just out of bounds. Banks did a nice job staying in phase.
