The New York Giants completed their sixth practice — the second in full pads — of training camp on Tuesday morning and the good news is that linebacker Brian Burns (ankle) returned.
The news wasn’t nearly as positive for tight end Lawrence Cager (hamstring), who could be out for some time. He was joined on the sideline by safety Tyler Nubin (calf) and center John Michael Schmitz (shoulder).
Nose tackle Dexter Lawrence (illness) did individual drills.
Out on the field, it was an ugly day for the offense. The defense was generating consistent pressure, throws from quarterback Daniel Jones were off, there were some drops by the receivers, and several botched plays.
Here’s a look at some of the sights and sounds from Tuesday’s practice.
UDFA Jake Kubas has impressed so far in camp. He’s been a guard in team drills but in 1v1 he’s been a center. The cross training continues! pic.twitter.com/XF4JNhcs7g
