A Russian court on Tuesday rejected Brittney Griner’s appeal after the jailed WNBA player begged for forgiveness for her “mistake” – upholding her nine-year sentence on drug charges.
Griner was convicted on Aug. 4 after police found vape canisters containing cannabis oil in her luggage at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport.
