Razzball Commenter Leagues, Week 10, 2024 Fantasy Baseball
Welcome to our second RCL Master Standings update! We are ten weeks in and the first Tuesday of the month means we have updated standings! Who sits atop the RCL universe now? Scroll and find out! We also have our usual weekly numbers, trades, and a RazzSlam update. Make sure to get those RazzSlam FAAB bids in now. This is your last chance to improve your team this year. VinWins also went and named a Team of the Month and also took a look at each top 10 teams in the Master Standings and found their top three draft picks for you. You might be surprised to learn that drafting Spencer Strider did not tank people’s seasons. Makes you wonder if drafting a pitcher in the first round is even worth it if he can go down and it doesn’t even matter. Hmm.
Each week we’ll peek in at our resident ‘perts to see who is laying claim to best “expert” RCLer in the land. We’ll take notes, check the standings and generally stalk them. The heading is also hyperlink, so feel free to follow along as we go.
First, an update on what must be one of the closest leagues going right now where four teams are within 0.5 points of each other thanks to a tie for first and a tie for second separated by 0.5 points. B_don claims the crown this week over Miek C thanks to tie-breakers. B_Don only gained 2.5 points this week but shot up three spots. The Lineup Builder gained the most this week, gaining six points and also moving up three places. All that ERA/WHIP luck last week regressed for Mike C this week as he posted a league worst 6.07 ERA/1.50 WHIP and lost eight points, this most this week. Kirksey was right behind him dropping 7.5 points and falling four places in the standings.
Each week we’ll also take a look at the top ten overall standings in our other Razzball sponsored league, the RazzSlam. This is our NFBC Best Ball league with managers from all across the industry, from content providers to fans and readers just like you.
Eric Erhardt holds on for one more week. Smada jumped up two places to fourth this week and Ariel Cohen has now aggregated his way into fifth place overall. He’s not sure who to thank for this achievement so he thanks, all of you. Ninth place Kevin Strutz vaulted into the top ten this week thanks to a RazzSlam best 692 points. Casey Symonds moved up the most places this week (60) thanks to 624 points gained but still sits in 228th.
Once again, remember to get those FAAB bids in. FAAB runs tonight at 10 ET

Bluefield Baby Birds takes over the overall top spot this month. You may recall the Baby Birds from them winning the Laura Holt Challenge league last season and they are looking for a repeat this year with a little extra on the side. Last month’s number one team, Longballers, still held onto the top ten and that 104 league index could be a difference maker. Cubbiehead made a nice 17 place jump to move into the top three.
As promised, here are the overall top ten’s draft picks:

Bobby Witt is certainly making his presence felt. Maybe the most interesting draft picks comes from the 40th place team, Bend the Knee of RCL 21 who drafted Trea Turner in the first and was lucky enough to Spencer Strider come back around in the second before grabbing Jose Altuve in the third. And here they are, 40th overall in the Master Standings. That’s quite something.

No new records this week, and trading two closer didn’t slow Stretch Run Punchouts down this week. Also, I hear that World Eater is on something of a heater, spittin rhymes just like Justin Bieber. You might think this team is but a sleeper, give ‘em a week and they gonna be the leader. JKJ best watch for the reaper, no sitting back and looking for a breather. Getting led to the promised land by Jesse Winker.

TEAM OF THE WEEK
Our weekly shout out to the team that killed it the previous week.
Summary: The future of dance is in good hands after this big week. Todd busted a move for 11.5 points and took over first place in our champion’s league this week. On the offensive side, it was Willy Adames who hit .385 with 10 RBI and 7 Runs, Alex Bregman who hit 4 home runs, and Lane Thomas and Jesse Winker who each stole 4 bases. As for pitching, Freddy Peralta had a win and 18 strikeouts while Jhoan Duran added 4 saves. Not too shabby, makes me wanna shake a leg.
Before we part, VinWins also calculated the Team of the Month for May. Spoiler: it was Finkelstein Ballers (RCL 7), but you can click HERE and see all the juicy data for yourself.
