Ramòn Laureano had been strangely absent from the lineup, and even some pinch hitting opportunities, lately and there was a growing belief he may be dealing with an injury. That was confirmed Friday afternoon when Brian Snitker spoke to reporters:
Laureano is dealing with a sore back. He hopes to be available to play again tomorrow.

It was considered a minor move at the time they acquired him, but as poorly as Adam Duvall has played this season, Laureano’s presence in the lineup has been sorely missed. It appears to be a minor back injury and won’t require an IL stint.
Snitker also updated reporters on AJ Minter’s status:
Minter wants to make one more rehab appearance on Sunday. He could be activated early next week.

Minter was placed on 15-day IL on May 30th with left hip inflammation and has been out for almost a month. The depth of the Braves’ bullpen has covered up most of the workload but it’ll be helpful to have one of the team’s highest leverage relievers back on the roster.
