The New York Giants came into Sunday’s road matchup against the Seattle Seahawks hoping to get closer to .500 with a win.
The Giants entered the game as touchdown road underdogs and rightfully so, as they were down starting running back Devin Singletary and star receiver Malik Nabers.
In the first half, it seemed like typical Giants football as they fumbled at the goal line and had the ball returned for a Seahawks touchdown. The Giants did however battle back taking a 10-7 lead before Seattle would tie it and the game was tied at 10 at the half.
In the second half, the Giants took a 10-point lead with less than 12 minutes remaining. However, they let the Seahawks hang around too long and the game got close.
Seattle would eventually line up for a game-tying field goal with over a minute to go in the fourth quarter where Isaiah Simmons came up with an athletic block that was returned for a touchdown sealing the game for Big Blue.
With the Giants pulling off the upset, here’s how X reacted.
That blocked FG was insane!!! We got our TD back from the 102 yd td fumble!!! Giants Have some fire baby.

This has to be the most complete game of #Giants football since they beat the Vikings in 2022, right?
If not for a questionable fumble-returned-TD call (14 point swing), they win by multiple scores on the road, in a tough environment, vs a 3-1 team.

Dexter Lawrence with the game clinching sack.
Future Hall of Famer.

This game felt like a masterpiece for #Giants Brian Daboll.
Without Malik Nabers and Devin Singletary, he schemed guys open. Daniel Jones played very well.
I thought they would struggle score. They could’ve had 30.
Statement to calm things down.

Any questions about whether Daboll and Co can coach were answered this week. Short handed flying across the country 6hrs without your best player. Well done men. #Giants100

ISAIAH SIMMONS ARE YOU SERIOUS!!!!!
— Sam Prince (@samtheprince14) October 6, 2024
Simmons didn’t play a snap on defense today. That’s how to make the most of your role.

We need to score touchdowns.

Zay Simmons with that block to win the game!

My how the turn tablesssss

Wowow! What an effort to block that kick for the Giants.

Dexter Lawrence and Leonard Williams swap jerseys on field #giants

Dexter Lawrence is THAT much of a difference maker.
It shows up on tape week after week, year after year, even when he’s double teamed.
As Jon said, he destroyed their entire operation this game.
Strong case can be made he’s NFL DPOY by the true definition of it. #Giants— Dan Schneier (@DanSchneierNFL) October 6, 2024
Great road win by the @Giants. Seattle is a tough place to play and this shows grit and no quit! LETS GO!!!

The Giants’ best rookie was not on the field today, but this statement win over the Seahawks reaffirms what has become clear early this season:
GM Joe Schoen had an outstanding 2024 NFL Draft.
Key playmakers added on both sides of the ball.
— Field Yates (@FieldYates) October 6, 2024
Hell of an effort from Daniel Jones: 23-34, 257 yards, 2 TD, 0 INT, and so many tough runs.
Darius Slayton (8-22-1) and Tyrone Tracy (18-129) stepped up big with Malik Nabers and Devin Singletary out.
— Dan Duggan (@DDuggan21) October 6, 2024
Say what you want about the Giants. But that was a gritty hard fought win on the road without your best offensive weapon. Guys stepped up. And couldn’t have had a worse start with 102yd fumble TD return.
GREAT WIN
