New York Giants fall to Cincinnati Bengals, 17-7: Here’s how X reacted

The New York Giants entered Sunday Night Football hoping to get their second straight win to get to .500 on the season. They hosted a desperate 1-4 Cincinnati Bengals team and the Giants came in extremely short-handed.

Kayvon Thibodeaux (IR), Malik Nabers, Devin Singletary, and Jamie Gillan did not suit up due to injury.

In a low-scoring game, the two offenses had trouble moving the ball. The Giants’ defense had a great day, particularly the defensive line in the absence of Thibodeaux.

Despite the defense’s stellar performance, the Giants were only able to put seven points on the board, and missed a field goal early in the fourth quarter that would have tied the game would prove to be costly for Big Blue.

The Giants dropped to 2-4 with the loss. Here’s how X reacted.

I’ll take heat for this but if you can’t watch that game and understand the QB is the reason they didn’t win the game then you’re not a #Giants fan you’re a fan of the QB first. Not the same as me saying he’s the wOrsT QB.

Tough loss to take. Giants had more than enough chances to win this game. Defense played outstanding while keeping the Bengals offense in check. The Giants will add this game to a list of games that “they could have won” this season, which means absolutely nothing in the end.…

Kills me that there’s just no consistency with this team. Facing one of the worst defenses in the league and can only score 7 points. Daniel Jones throws the ball well one week and then horrible the next. Nothing makes sense. This loss hurts bad.

The #Giants offense is brutal. Defense largely played lights out. But offense NEVER hits any big plays. EVER. Oh well. Yanks in the ALCS and the Knicks look good in preseason so there’s that.
