The New York Giants continued to fill roster holes on Tuesday as they are reportedly adding former New England Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles defensive back Jalen Mills in free agency.
Former Patriots safety Jalen Mills reached agreement on a one-year deal with the Giants, per source. A former Eagle now plays for the Giants.

Mills, 29, was a seventh-round pick of the Eagles out of LSU (No. 233 overall) back in 2016. He played five seasons in Philly before moving on to New England as a free agent in 2021 where he played the next three seasons.
Mills has played in 106 NFL regular season games with 83 starts and in four postseason games. He’s recorded 406 tackles (314 solo, 9 for a loss), 53 passes defensed, seven interceptions, and one defensive touchdown.
Mills has played both sides of the field as a corner and has spent time at safety. However, he is not a one-for-one replacement for safety Xavier McKinney, who agreed to free agent deal with the Eagles on Monday.
