Tyrese Haliburton had his Game 7 cut short in the most cruel way possible.
Indiana’s All-Star guard left the floor in the first quarter of Game 7 after a blistering start – nine points, 3-5 from the field and 3-4 from three-point range.
Tyrese was already dealing with a strained right calf in Game 5, and knew the risks of playing on it in Game 6 and 7. (Hello, Kevin Durant 2019).
In an innocuous play, the ball was passed to Hali and you could see his leg buckle / pop from under him, without contact.
In heartbreaking scenes, you could see he knew straight away the damage that was done as he cried and slammed his fist on the floor.

Shortly after Haliburton hobbled back to the locker room, the broadcast announced he suffered a lower right leg injury and will not return.

Doctors on social media are predicting the injury to be an achilles or a very high grade calf strain, since you could see the pop in his leg.
One social media user summed it up perfectly:
“Win or lose, Tyrese Haliburton’s 2025 postseason includes some of the most miraculous basketball moments we’ve ever seen. The resounding image of him should be this one and not the one of him on the floor in tears tonight.”
