Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons says he didn’t disrespect Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts for his comments on Von Miller’s podcast.
Dallas Cowboy linebacker Micah Parsons turned up the temperature in their rivalry with the Philadelphia Eagles. While appearing on “the Voncast” with Buffalo Bills linebacker Von Miller, Parsons talked about the NFL MVP award becoming a quarterback’s award. When bringing up Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts and his success, he said it’s both player and team.
These comments have spread across social media, news outlets, and even made it to the Eagles press conference.
Parsons spoke to the media on Thursday, and said that he meant no disrespect to Hurts and that he was just having a fun time on Miller’s podcast. The second-year linebacker also called out the media, saying “you guys get to talk — all day. Why can’t we talk a little chatter?”

Parsons continued, saying that he believes Hurts is having a great year. He also said that the Eagles defense “is the team to watch.” Parsons then reiterated that the topic they were discussing was “MVP, is it just quarterback.”
As mentioned earlier, the comments made their way to the Eagles. Hurts was un-phased by the comments saying “I’m worried about the [Chicago] Bears,” their Week 15 opponents.
Offensive tackle Jordan Mailata also spoke about Parsons, saying “we’ve got the Chicago Bears, not the Chicago Micah Parsons.”
The Cowboys are set to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars this week, where a victory will clinch them a playoff berth. As for the Eagles, they clinched their spot in the postseason last week after defeating the New York Giants.
On Christmas Eve, the Cowboys and Eagles are set to face each other for the second time this season, this time at AT&T Stadium.
