A day after not starting against a right-hander, Jarred Kelenic is back in there against Jack Flaherty and the Dodgers. Sean Murphy also returns and slides into the fifth spot in the batting order, while Whit Merrifield and his broken foot start a second consecutive game in the nine-hole.
As for the Dodgers, it’s more or less the same lineup with some flip-flops. Freddie Freeman moves down to fourth as Teoscar Hernandez moves up a spot, and Enrique Hernandez gets the start against the southpaw as Gavin Lux moves to the bench.
As a side note, I’m watching the Phillies roll out what is basically their D-game against the Mets for the second straight day, and while it’s a fairly obvious bit of gamesmanship and they probably can’t be blamed for it overall, it’s still pretty crappy. I hope they get knocked out of the top two seeds for their pathetic performance and then get absolutely rolled in the three-game set for their trouble (or lack thereof).
