Weight: 209 lbs.

While playing second fiddle to Jeremiyah Love in the Notre Dame backfield, Jadarian Price has done quite a lot in his backup role, enough to earn heavy consideration for the RB2 spot in the 2026 class. As a beneficiary of a weaker group of running backs, Price should hear his name called during the second day of the 2026 NFL Draft, giving him enough value to factor into the end of the first round of rookie drafts.

Price didn’t garner a ton of steam in early draft prep, as the likes of Washington’s Jonah Coleman and Penn State’s Nicholas Singleton led the running back group. But Price’s draft stock has gained steam as of late, as his ability to get small through the line and turn into a bowling ball when met with contact makes him a very interesting prospect to study, with upside.

Rookie Profile | Strengths and Weaknesses

There is an interesting dynamic to consider with Price’s draft stock, due to him entering the NFL after not being the starter with the Fighting Irish. While he doesn’t have the tape showing his ability to shoulder a starter’s workload, the amount of tread left on his tires means he should be fresh when entering the league.

If Price were the starter on any other team, he would easily be entrenched as the RB2 in this class, but being behind Love gives him less tape to analyze him on. Price’s ability to remain balanced even when initiated with contact is unrivaled by any other back this draft cycle, and his ability to seamlessly transfer from power to speed and vice versa is very impressive.

Jadarian Price | All-22 Film Breakdown

Price’s tape in the Dynasty Nerds Film Room shows his entire skill set, as his patience behind the line while attacking the hole when it opens up makes his athleticism a hidden part of his draft stock. His ability to contribute in the return game raises his ceiling, as Price was a solid kick returner for Notre Dame, putting up a few highlight moments in his career.

His game is far from perfect, though, as Price didn’t show a ton in the passing game, both in catching passes and pass blocking. Shielded from these areas due to his backup status, he will need to show his ability in the pre-draft cycle, as his Pro Day and NFL Combine performances will be key.

Draft Capital | Potential Landing Spots

Teams that need running backs include the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Minnesota Vikings, just to name a few. But other teams would be interested in Price as a complementary option, which would give him a chance to grow into a larger role in his second year.

While Love will earn all the headlines as the top running back and likely 1.01 this year, Price’s ADP is starting to creep up. With a rookie class heavily dominated by wide receivers, Price finds himself in the RB2-RB4 group, putting himself in the running for one of the last spots in the first round of your rookie drafts.
