Iowa's offense has not scored TD in last 134:56 of game time

Here’s your weekly reminder that the Iowa Hawkeyes are absolutely atrocious on the offensive side of the football.

Fresh off a demoralizing 54-10 loss to the No. 2-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes, Iowa’s offense continues to gain notoriety for all the wrong reasons.

The Hawkeyes offense, led by head coach Kirk Ferentz’s son, Brian Ferentz, is utterly offensive.

Iowa can thank the defense for a scoop-and-score against OSU that led to the team’s only touchdown of the game. That’s bad enough, of course, but the big picture over the past few weeks is even more telling regarding Iowa’s offensive woes.

In fact, the last time Iowa’s offense scored a touchdown, the calendar read Oct. 1.

Running back Kaleb Johnson scampered for a two-yard touchdown with 14:56 to go in Iowa’s early October loss to Michigan. Two whole games plus the end of that one have passed since the Hawkeyes last found the end zone on offense.

In the meantime, Iowa’s offense has punted the ball 13 times and turned it over seven times among a myriad of lowlight-worthy stats.
