Jimmy Butler’s 23 points and seven assists led the Miami Heat to a 106-98 victory over the winless Detroit Pistons on Monday night. Butler’s performance, alongside Terry Rozier’s 20 points, secured Miami’s first home win of the season as the Pistons dropped to 0-4.
Detroit’s Cade Cunningham started strong, making his first seven shots and scoring a game-high 24 points, but a shooting slump in the second half hampered the Pistons. Despite contributions from Tim Hardaway Jr., who added 20 points, and Isaiah Stewart, who grabbed 15 rebounds, Detroit couldn’t recover from Miami’s early fourth-quarter scoring burst.
