Malachi Toney, a four-star wide receiver from Fort Lauderdale, Florida (American Heritage High School), had been committed to the Miami Hurricanes for quite some time. In fact, his commitment to Mario Cristobal and his staff had stood for well over a year.
That’s ages in today’s college football recruiting world, but still, with programs like Alabama and Oregon still hot on the trail after Toney, according to 247Sports, it was a commitment that has ultimately been broken.
Toney decommitted from Miami on Thursday.
