Dylan Lee recalled to Atlanta, A.J. Minter to the Injured List (UPDATED)

The Braves have made a roster addition this afternoon before their game with the San Francisco Giants, but the subtraction is a little unexpected.

Lefty Dylan Lee is back in the active roster today after a eight-day absence in Gwinnett. Dylan is having a terrific year with a 2.00/3.09/3.65 line in 45 innings with a 49/14 K/BB rate. In the time Lee has been away, the Braves bullpen has thrown 30 23 innings of 8.51 ERA ball (Luke Jackson says hi). Going to the injured list will be A.J. Minter, who took the loss for Friday’s night’s game in Colorado. He will rest and hopefully be ready for the stretch run, such as it appears to be.

Dylan Lee was missed and his return to the clubhouse probably mirrors that gif where the guy holding pizza walks into a burning apartment. Hopefully, the lefty can start to put out some fires.

The summer of injuries continues as Minter’s reoccurring left hip issue appears to threaten his season.
