DFS Picks, October 4th, 2022 Fantasy Baseball DFS

Well. This is it.

You’ve been thinking

And I’ve been drinking

We both know that it’s just so right

Now you’re pretending

That it’s not ending (The season)

You’ll say anything to avoid a fight

Grey don’t lie, and tell me that you need me

Grey don’t cry, and tell me nothing’s wrong

I’ll be alright one way or another

So let me go, or make we want to stay

If this is it, please let me know

If this ain’t glove, you’d better let me go

If this is it, I want to know

If this ain’t glove baby, just say so

As I said last week. Not my best year in DFS or regular old Fantasy baseball. 11-15 record in large double up format based on these articles. Hoping that’s good enough for Grey and Rudy to employ me again next year. Considering their other options I like my chances, but I thought I’d put together this catchy little ditty with my friend Huey Lewis to help lock it up. Sad the off-season is almost upon us, and looking forward to when that sweet article drops in January for The Top 10 Overall for 2023. Also wanna thank Truss for letting me jump in and help with some articles. And for kicking my ass and everyone else’s in DFS Wars this fall. Nice job Truss.

Here are my final Tuesday night DFS picks of the season. Had to change up the format a little bit. I think Draftkings might think the season is over cause it’s 7:30 Eastern time Monday night as I start writing this, and there are no prices on anyone. There should be a 10-game slate. Gonna give you a top-tier play and a value play at each spot and let you build lineups from there.

I’ll be bringing you my DFS picks for the main evening slate on Tuesday, October 4th , 2022. If you play on DraftKings, it is a 10-game slate starting at 6:05 Central time. (I think) This article will be primarily focused on the DraftKings slate, so if you play on Fanduel I encourage you to sign up for the DFS tools to help you make the best decisions for your lineups on FanDuel, DraftKings, and Yahoo.

New to DFS?  You can start playing right now on FanDuel and put our picks to the test.  If you’re scared of feeling like a small fish in a big pond, be sure to read our content and subscribe to the DFS Bot for your daily baseball plays. Just remember to sign up through us before jumping into the fray, it helps support your Razzball team!

Top Tier Starting Pitchers: Most of the wild card playoff teams are lining up their rotations and getting guys just a little extra work. I’m looking to teams with a BYE or teams that are pitching against teams that don’t care for my options tonight.

Julio Urias – Julio struggled at the start of the year, but hasn’t given up more than 2 earned runs in a game since July 10th. He gets the Rockies and should get his usual workload of pitches or hopefully at least close to it.

Carlos Rodon – Rodon should be able to try and get a win off the Padres who will try just coast through the last two games with their fate already decided.

Value Starting Pitchers: Same method as top-tier arms.

Cal Quantrill – Fun Fact the Indians are 14-1 in Cal’s last 15 starts. He might not go deep in this game or K a ton of hitters, but the Royals aren’t gonna care in this one, and Cal is on a roll.

Ranger Suarez – He’s held the Braves to 1 Earned Run over 12 Innings this month already. He can handle Houston too. They have nothing to play far and should be coasting.

Catchers: I’d look value here

Adley Rutschman – Adley goes vs Mitch White Tuesday. He’s not lighting the world on fire with 2 Home Runs in last 15 games, but he’s still a solid play here.

Christian Bethancourt -Seems like he’s in my lineups a lot. He’s got hits in 12 of 15 contests. Rich Hill opposes tonight and should be a good fade.

1st Base: Top options too pricey for recent outputs.

Jose Abreu – I like the Winder match-up here. He’s hitting .304 even if the power dropped off this year.

Nate Lowe – He’s hitting .299 and has 26 dongs. He will likely be the 16-19th most expensive option at 1st. He faces Gerritt Cole who lately seems like he’s trying to join Aaron Judge in leading the league in Home Runs.

2nd Base: I like zero second basemen

Wilmer Flores – Like him vs Manaea

Whit Merrifield – Could be a value. He’s hit safely in 6 straight. The Jays still have something to play for are far as positioning goes.

3rd Base: Feel about like I did for second baseman. Woof.

Alec Bohm – Verlander shouldn’t go deep in this game. Bohm has cooled off the last week, but he should love the Astros back end bullpen and short left field.

Anthony Rendon – He’s back! Gets a nice lefty to hit off in Cole Irvin and the A’s.

Shortstop: Gotta spend some here. Cheap options not looking good.

Bo Bichette – Bo knows multi-hit games. Bo forgot how to hit Home Runs. Hopefully, he figures it out tonight.

Jeremy Pena – Quietly having a 21 Home Run Campaign.

Outfield: This is where most of my dollars will likely be tonight.

Mike Trout– Gets Cole Irvin. Still the best hitter in the game when healthy.  How has Ohtani been more expensive? Lefty/Lefty tonight and Ohtani hasn’t homered since 9/11 and hasn’t stolen a base July 6.

George Springer – He’s got a really nice run going right now with 4 Home Runs and 5 multi hit games in the last week going into Monday night.

Taylor Ward – Really Raised that average up lately. 5 Home Runs last 15 games – Gets Irvin.

Austin Hays – Mitch White stinks. Hays will play. That will be a value OF in my book on the second to last day of the season.

I’m Only Happy When It Rains

The Hurricane could still be churning in some rain on the east coast affecting Boston, Baltimore and New York. Guess what it will be windy there also. Could be potential rain in LA? Not enough to cause any issues there though.

Doing Lines In Vegas

I did mention I do a bit of Sports Handicapping. Follow me on Twitter @TheGreat Knoche for more info. I’ll give out a Free Play here every Tuesday, but you can find all my free and premium picks for MLB and a few other sports at The Odds Breakers

Play the over in the White Sox/ Twins at 7.5. Giolito hasn’t gotten anyone out all year, and even the shell of whats left of the White Sox offense should be able to put up 4 against Winder and the Twins.
