Daniel Jones involved in second New York Giants-Lions fight

The New York Giants and Detroit Lions were boxing more than they were practicing during Monday’s first joint practice.

Less than an hour into the session, the two teams erupted in a brawl that spilled over the sideline near the bleachers. It lasted for several minutes with multiple players throwing punches.

After settling down, things began to get heated again when Giants running back Eric Gray took a big hit which popped his helmet off.

A few players later, a Lions defender knocked the ball out of quarterback Daniel Jones’ hands — it’s a no-no to touch anyone in a red jersey — which infuriated head coach Brian Daboll.

On the very next snap, a second fight broke out, this time involving Jones, who could be seen in on the pile of humanity.

Jones was quickly pulled away from the scrum by a coach and held back before the two teams were once again separated.

The chippiness continued throughout the remainder of practice.
