Intro to Campus 2 Canton (C2C)
Every year we see more people get involved with the game of fantasy football. It’s grown from a niche interest to a driving force in the surge in revenue and increasing salary cap in the NFL. But, if you’re here, you are a dynasty player which is part of the next niche in fantasy football. You know that there’s no “off season” in dynasty fantasy football. Every piece of NFL news impacts your team and your strategy. What if you could double the thrill by joining a Campus 2 Canton (C2C) league?
The NCAA transfer portal, coaching changes, player declarations, and even recruitment—it all matters. I believe that the next great boom in the world of fantasy football will be Campus 2 Canton (C2C) leagues.
What Are C2C Leagues?
If you’re unfamiliar with the concept, a Campus 2 Canton (C2C) league is two separate, but also connected, leagues. You have a college league and an NFL league. They each compete in their own lanes for a championship with the winnings usually split between the two. However, the connection comes in the same way that college football and the NFL are connected. When players enter the NFL in “real life” they also graduate from your college team to your NFL squad.
One of the biggest draws in dynasty is when you can identify a player before they breakout in the NFL. In C2C leagues, you can have as many of the top dynasty rookie selections head to your NFL team as you can roster on your college squad. In 2025, you could bring up Ashton Jeanty, Omarion Hampton, Travis Hunter, Cam Ward, and Tetairoa McMillan if you were able to identify their talents before your league mates.

If you saw the potential in Puka Nacua or Bucky Irving, your dynasty teams benefitted. Now, imagine the payoff when you can identify that potential while the player is still in college or even as a high school recruit. These players can lead your team to college and NFL titles and make your team a true dynasty powerhouse.
Structure | Campus 2 Canton
- There are tons of different roster formats for C2C leagues. However, generally speaking on the college side, the starting lineups are larger, particularly at the QB position. The massive world of collegiate players allows for competitive rosters to be built in a variety of ways.
- You can build a team of “college guys” aka players that are very productive in college but have a limited NFL upside. Conversely, you can roster a squad that is closer to a “devy” mindset, where you focus more on building a pipeline of talent for your NFL team than being concerned with collegiate production. The beauty of the format is that you can pick how to structure your rosters.
Why C2C Leagues Are Fun (and Addicting)
For me, the fun is trying to identify NFL talent much earlier in the process. The NFL rookie drafts become less of a focus, and instead, you’re tracking college players and games. Some dynasty players like to say they don’t care about college football, but the reality is that we all have some interest in it to help build our dynasty rosters. In C2C leagues, you can create a strong NFL roster whilst also taking home college titles in the process of building a dynasty.

Furthermore, you develop a connection to the players you identify in college. For example, I could say I scouted Breece Hall, Zay Flowers, Nico Collins, Matthew Golden, and countless others well before they made it onto the NFL radar. They become players you pull for because you saw the potential before many others.
One of the most intriguing elements of C2C leagues are the trades. Having an entire additional college league to use in working a deal makes for some of the most exciting and risky trades you’ll find. You can mortgage your college talent to go all out for a title or sell off veteran NFL pieces to revamp your college squad and rebuild your NFL team for the future.
Challenges and Learning Curve
The biggest barriers to entry in the C2C format are finding a league with leaguemates and the learning curve of adding a college league and all the players that come with it. Fortunately, more and more people are entering the C2C format so new leagues are popping up everywhere. The DynastyNerds discord is always a good place to look for C2C leagues as well as our friends over at campus2canton.com who do a fantastic job at analyzing and breaking down C2C leagues from all angles.
