In the premium matchup of the weekend, headlined by Max Fried vs Paul Skenes, Adam Duvall and Forrest Wall will start for Atlanta in the corners of the outfield, with Ramon Laureano presumably still out with soreness. Travis d’Arnaud will catch for Fried, as Sean Murphy gets some rest. The Braves will hope that their top 6 hitters can do some damage off of Skenes, as that bottom 3 of Wall, Duvall, and Arcia should not be expected to do much against the young ace, especially with how Duvall is (not) hitting right now.
Meanwhile, the Pirates will let Oneil Cruz sit, with Jared Triolo replacing him at shortstop. Elsewhere, Michael Taylor join their lineup in center field and Connor Joe at first base. The lineup was shuffled in order, along with these replacements.
