The Atlanta Braves are getting a key piece of their lineup back for Wednesday’s game in San Francisco. As expected, the Braves reinstated outfielder Michael Harris from the 60-day injured list Wednesday. Harris has been out since suffering a hamstring injury while running the bases on June 14 in a game against the Tampa Bay Rays.
To make room on the active roster, Atlanta optioned Eli White to Gwinnett. Parker Dunshee was designated for assignment to open up a spot on the 40-man roster.
The #Braves today returned OF Michael Harris II from his rehabilitation assignment and reinstated him from the injured list, and optioned OF Eli White to Triple-A Gwinnett. To make room on the 40-man roster, Atlanta designated RHP Parker Dunshee for assignment.

Harris was hitting .250/.295/.358 with five homers and an 80 wRC+ at the time of the injury. He got off to a great start at the plate but slumped along with the rest of the lineup in May and June. Still, he has a 115 wRC+ for his career and is a big upgrade over some of the Braves’ other options, particularly defensively. Harris appeared in six games for Gwinnett during his rehab assignment and was 10-for-23 with a homer at the plate.
