Braves Minor League Recap: Drake Baldwin homers again


Sunday had just one game in the Atlanta Braves system, where we got to see catching prospect Drake Baldwin homer for the second day in a row. He was joined in the homer column by Eddie Rosario, who didn’t take long to leave the yard after rejoining the organization.

Drew Parrish got the start and turned in five solid innings, allowing a pair of runs on three hits and three walks over those five innings of work. He was followed by Brooks Wilson, who allowed a pair of solo homers during his inning and a third, getting credited with the loss. Hayden Harris came in and faced two batters, striking out four and picking up four swings and misses. Domingo Gonzalez pitched a clean inning to finish this one off for the Stripers pitching staff.

The star of the day had to be Drake Baldwin, who hit a 441 foot homer – his second in two days and fifth since reaching Gwinnett, during a two for five day. Eddie Rosario also homered for the first time after rejoining the organization this week, while Nacho Alvarez reached base three times (1-3, 2 BB) and stole a base in the loss. JP Martinez also had a good game, going two for three with a walk and recording a double.
