The Atlanta Braves announced that Grant Holmes will get the start on Saturday when they take on the Miami Marlins. Braves manager Brian Snitker told reporters that Max Fried is an option to start the game on Sunday.

Snitker also noted that Reynaldo Lopez is still day-to-day after leaving his last start with forearm soreness after the third inning. Fried, who is currently on the IL, is eligible to be activated tomorrow.
Holmes, who made his first MLB start on Monday in Milwaukee, would be looking to follow up on his eight strikeout performance when he allowed only three hits and one run in five innings. Importantly, he also threw only 70 pitches in that start as the reliever continues to get stretched out.
In his rookie season, Holmes has appeared in 11 games – including his single start – striking out 29 batters across 28.1 innings pitched. He has allowed only 20 hits and five walks during his time in Atlanta.
