Atlanta Braves stick with usual-looking lineup to open up Brewers series

The lineups have been released for tonight’s series opener between the Atlanta Braves and the Milwaukee Brewers. As you’d except for the Braves, they aren’t trying to reinvent the wheel on the daily basis and stick with what they’re used to unless the offense is just consistently in a catastrophic state. So let’s not waste anymore time and get into it.

Here’s Atlanta’s lineup:

Travis d’Arnaud is back in the lineup after sitting out on Sunday and both Whit Merrifield and Jarred Kelenic have flipped-flopped places in the lineup. Other than that, this is just about what you’d expect the Braves to look like nowadays in regards to their lineup. Meanwhile, Marcell Ozuna and Orlando Arcia both homered against Colin Rea back on July 29 and that’s all we’ll talk about as far as that game went.

Here’s how the Brewers are looking this evening:

The order may be switched around a bit but these are the same nine batters that Bryce Elder faced when he saw them on July 29. Hopefully there will be a similar result and Elder will be able to confuse and confound this Brewers lineup as they square off this evening.

Tonight’s game can be seen on Bally Sports South and TBS if you’re outside of either the Atlanta or Milwaukee market. You can also listen to the game on 680 The Fan/93.7 FM.
