Atlanta Braves second baseman Whit Merrifield exited Friday night’s game after hitting a ball off his left foot in the seventh inning. His X-rays came back negative and he awaits a CT scan.

Friday’s contest marked Merrifield’s first game back after missing the last two starts due to a hit by pitch in the head. The injury comes as another blow to the Braves but will hopefully end in the best case scenario.
