Atlanta Braves News: Michael Harris II Day-to-Day, Atlanta Drops Series Finale to Nationals, More

Three Sundays ago, the Braves experienced one of the most embarrassing losses in recent franchise history.

Two Sundays ago, Austin Riley was hit by a pitch that will likely keep him out of action for the rest of the regular season.

And yesterday, the Braves dropped the series finale to the Nationals while also holding their collective breath as Michael Harris II was hit by a pitch (and left the game in the fourth inning) and Marcell Ozuna fouled a ball off his leg.

In other words, Sundays have been not been fun days for the Braves .

Fortunately, both Harris II and Ozuna appear to be fine. Harris II will be day to day with soreness, and Ozuna will likely be back in the lineup tonight as the Braves open their road trip against the Twins. And while the past two weeks have been pretty stressful for Atlanta at times, they also have won four straight series. That has allowed for them to carry a 2 12 game lead for the final NL Wild Card spot into this week.

The big key for Atlanta is now for them to figure out how to once again get the offense going as they face two current playoff teams in the Twins and Phillies this week.
