The Braves continued to have a bad time in May, dropping another to Pittsburgh in annoying fashion with a severe lack of runs. A lot of this continues to be a combination of bad luck and the (likely) new higher drag ball, but it is pretty un-fun to watch this offense right now. Meanwhile, they made a move on the fringe of the roster, bringing up Jimmy Herget, who they added from the Angels for Darius Vines. Herget has been an effective reliever at times in his career, and a reappearance of that version of him would be great, but fundamentally the team needs to score more runs to win more games.
