Sunday followed the same script the Braves have had to rely on for many of their wins in 2024.
Dominant starting pitching mixed with disappointing offense for much of the game followed up by making fewer late-game mistakes than the other team to get the win.
That is how Atlanta was able to comeback twice versus the Blue Jays to get the series win on Sunday. And while it may be suspenseful and frustrating, it is a still a win, and one that once again tied the Braves with the Mets once again for the final NL Wild Card spot.
And for the week ahead, the Braves must continue to figure out ways to win unless the offense can find some sort of success. Though three weeks are still left in the regular season, it still feels as if each game has a playoff-style feel to it. And at some point, the offense for the Braves must step up to support the pitching.
