Charlie Morton will get the start Friday when the Atlanta Braves begin a three-game series at Citi Field against the New York Mets. Lefty Jose Quintana will get the start for New York.
Marcell Ozuna is hitting fifth and is 11-for-24 with two doubles and a homer in his career against Quintana. Adam Duvall gets the start in left and is 4-for-10 with two homers against the Mets’ lefty. Ozzie Albies has also had plenty of success against Quintana going 7-for-13 with two doubles and two homers.
For the Mets, J.D. Martinez will slot in as the DH and bat fifth behind Pete Alonso. Harrison Bader gets the start in center field and is hitting seventh. Tomas Nido starts behind the plate and rounds out the order in the ninth spot.
First pitch Friday is scheduled for 7:10 p.m. ET and can be seen on Bally Sports Southeast.
