The Hartford Wolf Pack and New York Rangers have announced an extension of their partnership through the 2028-29 season.
The Wolf Pack, operated by the Oak View Group, are entering their 30th season in the American Hockey League. It is the second-longest active relationship between an NHL team and an AHL city.
“We are beyond thrilled to continue our long-term partnership with the New York Rangers in Hartford,” said Peter Luukko, co-chairman of Oak View Group’s Stadium and Arena Alliances. “Hartford is a premier market in the AHL, and the relationship between this franchise and the Rangers is one of the most successful in league history.”
Since coming to Hartford in 1997, the Wolf Pack have sent numerous players and staff members to the NHL, including current Rangers Igor Shesterkin, J.T. Miller and Will Cuylle. During the 2025-26 NHL season, 22 players who previously played for the Wolf Pack suited up in at least one game for the Rangers.
The relationship has also produced the only professional hockey championship in Hartford’s history, the 2000 Calder Cup.
