Tampa Bay Rays 2026 Minor League Roundup: Week 4

This was the 3rd week of full minor league play (stats are entering play on May, 3rd).

According to FanGraphs (which factors in age and proximity to the big leagues), 19-year old Cooper Flemming has taken over the top hitter spot in the Rays system. Flemming was the Rays 2nd round pick in 2025 and currently stashed in Single-A, hitting .364/.457/.568 with 3 HR and 5 SB, registering a 176 wRC+ over 105 PA.

Meanwhile, Aidan Cremarosa is still the team’s top minor league pitcher. The 22-year old was taken by the Rays in the 8th round of the 2025 draft out of Fresno State. Thus far over four starts in Single-A, Cremarosa has a 3.24 ERA | 2.28 FIP with a 38.0 K% & 4.0 BB% over 25 IP. There will be more on Cremarosa further below.

RHP Gary Gill Hill has been promoted to Double-A Montgomery.
OF Aidan Smith has started a rehab assignment in the Florida Coast League; he opened the season on the Injured List with a hamstring issue
SS Daniel Pierce’s stint on the Injured List was brief as he was activated on May 2nd.

1B Xavier Isaac still has major contact concerns (51.4%), but his power and on-base numbers are soaring in Double-A. Since April 12th, he is hitting .269/.441/.750 with 7 HR over 68 PA.
