Tier 1 | Elite Quarterbacks for Week 8

Tier 1 Quarterback Rankings for Week 8 Fantasy Football Player Rankings Tiers Start/Sit QB RB WR TE featuring Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson

Patrick Mahomes | Kansas City Chiefs
Josh Allen | Buffalo Bills
These two dual-threat monsters have combined for 500+ rushing yards and 7 TDs to start the season. Patrick Mahomes is back atop the QB mountain, and now has his full receiving corps healthy with no slowdown in sight. Meanwhile, Josh Allen, coming off a bye, looks to re-ignite an offense that averaged 30+ PPG during its 4-0 start but fell under 20 in its last two outings. Even with Carolina’s top-10 defense, expect Allen to bounce back from his QB14 pre-bye ranking.

Lamar Jackson | Baltimore Ravens
After getting in practice sessions all week, albeit limited, Todd Monkon said, “If he’s ready to go, I’m ready to go” when referring to Lamar Jackson’s availability for Sunday. His ceiling is too high to sit, especially against a Bear’s defense, tho improving, are struggling to define themselves.

Tier 2 | Must-Start Quarterbacks for Week 8

Tier 2 Quarterback Rankings for Week 8 Fantasy Football Player Rankings Tiers Start/Sit QB RB WR TE featuring Jalen Hurts, Drake Maye, Bo Nix, Caleb Williams.

Jalen Hurts | Philadelphia Eagles
We think of Jalen Hurts for the “tush push,” but lately he’s been carving teams up through the air with 296 passing yards per game, 6 TDs, 70% completion over the last three weeks. He’s the QB2 on the season and now draws the Giants’ 29th-ranked defense in a divisional tilt.

Start of the Week | Bo Nix | Denver Broncos
Fresh off his QB1 overall eruption, including 48 rushing yards and 2 TDs, Bo Nix gets another explosive matchup versus the Cowboys’ #1 offense and worst defense. Expect another stat-sheet stuffer in Denver.

Caleb Williams | Chicago Bears
A tough Week 7 dropped Caleb Williams from QB8 to QB14, but the 30th-ranked Baltimore defense is just what he needs to rebound. Chicago’s run game has been humming (#1 since the bye), but Williams should exploit a unit surrendering 32 PPG.

Tier 3 | Mid Tier QB1 Options for Week 8

Tier 3 Quarterback Rankings for Week 8 Fantasy Football Player Rankings Tiers Start/Sit QB RB WR TE featuring Dak Prescott, Daniel Jones, Baker Mayfield, Jaxson Dart.

Dak Prescott | Dallas Cowboys
The QB5 in fantasy and #2 in passing yards, Dak Prescott brings the league’s top offense into Mile High to face the Broncos’ #3 defense. With CeeDee Lamb back, Prescott has all his weapons and is on a four-game streak of 3+ passing TDs. Another shootout is likely.

Daniel Jones | Indianapolis Colts
Sitting at QB7, “Indiana Jones” has the #1 scoring offense (33 PPG) and is on pace for 4,300 yards, 24 TDs, and just 7 INTs. Tennessee’s leaky defense makes him a great bet for another top-10 week.

Baker Mayfield | Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Baker Mayfield is coming off his worst fantasy outing and just lost Mike Evans (broken clavicle). Still, he ranked QB7 before the injury and remains top-10 in QB rushing. With Chris Godwin nearing a return and Emeka Egbuka still healing (tho playing), Mayfield’s ceiling is temporarily capped, but his floor remains safe.

Jaxson Dart | New York Giants
In four starts, Jaxson Dart is QB5 overall (23 PPG) and leads all QBs in rushing yards and total TDs (10). He gets the Eagles again at Lincoln Financial Field, after upsetting them just two weeks ago.

Tiers 4 – 7 Week 8 Quarterback Rankings Tiers

Tier 4 | Fringe Quarterback Starters / Strong QB2 Plays for Week 8

Tier 4 Quarterback Rankings for Week 8 Fantasy Football Player Rankings Tiers Start/Sit QB RB WR TE featuring Jordan Love, Tyrod Taylor, Joe Flacco, Brock Purdy

Sit of the Week | Brock Purdy / Mac Jones | San Francisco 49ers
Regardless of who starts, both are QB2s who rely on Christian McCaffrey and YAC from the receivers. The Texans’ #5 pass defense and #1 scoring defense make them low-ceiling plays.

Tyrod Taylor | New York Jets
The Tyrod Taylor era is back on. In his Week 3 start, he finished as QB8, thanks to his rushing floor. Facing the 31st-ranked Bengals defense, Taylor is a sneaky superflex start with dual-threat upside.

Joe Flacco | Cincinnati Bengals
Rejuvenating the Bengals offense, Joe Flacco led the offense to 470 yards and a QB6 finish in his first start. The Jets’ #9 pass defense presents a tougher test, but expect Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins to stay involved as long as Flacco’s in rhythm.

Tier 5 | Superflex and Matchup-Based Quarterbacks for Week 8

Tier 5 Quarterback Rankings for Week 8 Fantasy Football Player Rankings Tiers Start/Sit QB RB WR TE featuring Marcus Mariota, Aaron Rodgers, C.J. Stroud, Michael Penix Jr

Marcus Mariota | Washington Commanders
With Jayden Daniels sidelined, Marcus Mariota draws the start. In his last two-game stretch, he averaged 19 PPG, but the Chiefs’ #4 pass defense is a tough obstacle. Limited upside, moderate floor.

Michael Penix Jr. | Atlanta Falcons
Atlanta’s #10 passing offense has only produced five TDs, holding Michael Penix Jr. down at QB31. Miami’s #26 overall defense can be beaten, but expect the Falcons to rely more on their #4 rush offense than Penix’s arm.

Andy Dalton | Carolina Panthers
A better real-life QB than Bryce Young, but a brutal matchup with the Bills’ #2 pass defense caps his fantasy viability. Strictly a desperation start.

Tier 6 | Emergency Week 8 Streaming Quarterbacks

Tier 6 Quarterback Rankings for Week 8 Fantasy Football Player Rankings Tiers Start/Sit QB RB WR TE featuring Spencer Rattler, Tua Tagovailoa, Dillon Gabriel, Cam Ward.

Tua Tagovailoa | Miami Dolphins
The once-explosive Miami offense has cratered to 27th in scoring (20 PPG). Facing the #2 pass defense in Atlanta, Tua Tagovailoa offers no rushing floor and minimal upside, a risky start in all formats.

Tier 1 | Elite Week 8 Workhorse Running Backs

Tier 1 Running Back Rankings for Week 8 Fantasy Football Player Rankings Tiers Start/Sit QB RB WR TE featuring Bijan Robinson, Christian McCaffrey, Jonathan Taylor

Bijan Robinson | Atlanta Falcons
Christian McCaffrey | San Francisco 49ers
Jonathan Taylor | Indianapolis Colts
These are the top three RBs in fantasy, outpacing the field by over 3.5 PPG. Bijan Robinson and Jonathan Taylor both have favorable Week 8 matchups, while Christian McCaffrey is the San Francisco offense, averaging over 26 touches per game. These players give every fantasy manager a positional advantage each week.

Tier 2 | Must-Start RB1 Options

Tier 2 Running Back Rankings for Week 8 Fantasy Football Player Rankings Tiers Start/Sit QB RB WR TE featuring Saquon Barkley, James Cook, Breece Hall, Derrick Henr

Start of the Week | Saquon Barkley | Philadelphia Eagles
A mid-tier RB2 is not what managers expected from Saquon Barkley, who’s averaging 13.5 PPG and just 3.3 yards per carry. With only 20 receptions, his floor has been lower than anticipated. However, after a quiet grudge-match loss to the Giants, expect Barkley to surpass his 14 touches from that game and exploit New York’s 25th-ranked rush defense.

Breece Hall | New York Jets
At just over 11 PPG, Breece Hall gets the 25th-ranked Bengals run defense, a prime rebound spot. A QB switch to Tyrod Taylor should help game flow, and with weaker opposition than Tampa Bay’s front (under 100 YPG allowed), Hall’s workload and efficiency should climb this week.

Derrick Henry | Chicago Bears
The Bears’ run defense has improved, but still sits 28th in the league. Derrick Henry logged his biggest workload of the year before the bye, 24 carries for 122 yards, and remains the heart of this offense. Expect another heavy dose of Henry against a Bears team vulnerable to the run.

Tier 3 | Solid RB1 Starters for Week 8

Tier 3 Running Back Rankings for Week 8 Fantasy Football Player Rankings Tiers Start/Sit QB RB WR TE featuring De'Von Achane, Javonte Williams, Josh Jacobs, Quinshon Judkins

De’Von Achane | Miami Dolphins
Second in the league among RBs in targets, De’Von Achane ranks RB6 in PPG, averaging 5.3 YPC and offering a rock-solid floor through the air. Miami’s offense runs through him, and he’ll need every ounce of his burst to create against a disciplined Atlanta defense.

Javonte Williams | Dallas Cowboys
Back to full form, Javonte Williams has 111 carries for 5.3 YPC and 29 targets on the year, cementing his role in the league’s #1 offense. Denver’s defense will be a challenge, but his volume and versatility make him a steady RB1 start.

Cam Skattebo / Tyrone Tracy Jr. | New York Giants
Cam Skattebo has thrived since taking over, ranking RB5 since Week 3. Tyrone Tracy Jr. will spell him but likely won’t steal primary touches. When these teams met two weeks ago, Skattebo delivered 3 TDs and 110 scrimmage yards, expect another big day.

Rachaad White | Tampa Bay Buccaneers
With Bucky Irving ruled out again, Rachaad White remains the lead back and is RB12 since Week 5. His pass-catching and goal-line work give him a high floor. The 24th-ranked Saints run defense sets up a great bounce-back spot.

Jaylen Warren | Pittsburgh Steelers
Sitting at RB15 in PPG, Jaylen Warren leads a top-12 offense in touches, averaging 14 carries and 4 targets per game. He’s only scored once but maintains a solid receiving floor. Green Bay’s #2 rush defense will test him, but any game script keeps him relevant.

Tier 4 – 8 Running Back Week 8 Rankings Fantasy Football

Tier 4 | Reliable RB2 Starters for Week 8

Tier 4 Running Back Rankings for Week 8 Fantasy Football Player Rankings Tiers Start/Sit QB RB WR TE featuring J.K. Dobbins, D’Andre Swift, Jacory Croskey-Merritt, Chase Brown.

Sit of the Week | Jacory Croskey-Merritt | Washington Commanders
After a blowup 150-yard, 2-TD game, Jacory Croskey-Merritt has cooled off to 5.5 PPG while Jeremy McNichols vultured points on limited touches. Facing a red-hot Kansas City defense, this duo’s upside is capped.

J.K. Dobbins / R.J. Harvey | Denver Broncos
R.J. Harvey flashed in Week 4 with an RB1 finish, but J.K. Dobbins has since reclaimed the lead (50 touches to 18). Both could thrive against Dallas’s 30th-ranked run defense, with a chance for dual RB2 production.

D’Andre Swift / Kyle Monangai | Chicago Bears
Since the bye, Chicago’s run game is #1 in the NFL, 367 yards and 3 TDs led by D’Andre Swift (RB6) and Kyle Monangai, who’s adding nearly 12 PPG himself. Baltimore’s 26th-ranked run defense means both remain playable.

Chase Brown | Cincinnati Bengals
The Joe Flacco effect was immediate, 108 yards in Week 7 after just 202 combined before that. The Bengals’ confidence is back, and Brown should continue to thrive if the offense keeps clicking.

Tier 5 | Back End RB2 / Flex-Level Running Back Options for Week 8

Tier 5 Running Back Rankings for Week 8 Fantasy Football Player Rankings Tiers Start/Sit QB RB WR TE featuring Rhamondre Stevenson, Woody Marks, Isiah Pacheco, Kyle Monangai

Rhamondre Stevenson / TreVeyon Henderson | New England Patriots
Despite an expected split, Rhamondre Stevenson has dominated touches 33–12 over TreVeyon Henderson. Cleveland’s #1 overall defense will keep this backfield in check, but Stevenson’s usage keeps him flex-relevant.

Rico Dowdle / Chuba Hubbard | Carolina Panthers
With Chuba Hubbard back, we saw a 54/46 snap split, yet Rico Dowdle was twice as efficient per carry. Both have capped ceilings but face the 31st-ranked Buffalo run defense, which gives them a glimmer of hope.

Tyjae Spears / Tony Pollard | Tennessee Titans
This backfield is split right down the middle, Spears led in Week 6, Pollard in Week 7. Unfortunately, the Titans’ bottom-ranked offense limits both players’ ceilings unless one earns the bell-cow role.

Tier 6 | High Risk Flex Running Backs for Week 8

Tier 6 Running Back Rankings for Week 8 Fantasy Football Player Rankings Tiers Start/Sit QB RB WR TE featuring Brashard Smith, Tyrone Tracy Jr., Jeremy McNichols, Nick Chubb

Woody Marks / Nick Chubb | Houston Texans
A tough split to trust. Woody Marks is taking the receiving role, while Nick Chubb’s snaps have dropped since Week 2. San Francisco’s top-12 run defense keeps Chubb as more a desperation start

Tier 7 | Deep League Flex and Bench RBs for Week 8

Tier 7 Running Back Rankings for Week 8 Fantasy Football Player Rankings Tiers Start/Sit QB RB WR TE featuring Kenneth Gainwell, Sean Tucker, Isaiah Davis, Emanuel Wilson

Isaiah Davis | New York Jets
Even with a near 50/50 snap split, Isiah Davis turned that into just 2 carries and 3 targets. He’s a pure handcuff to Breece Hall until that workload becomes meaningful.

Devin Neal | New Orleans Saints
With Kendre Miller done for the year, Devin Neal should see increased opportunities, just not effective ones this week against the Bucs’ top-10 run defense.

Tier 8 | Stash or Emergency Running Backs for Week 8

Tier 8 Running Back Rankings for Week 8 Fantasy Football Player Rankings Tiers Start/Sit QB RB WR TE featuring Ray Davis, Chris Rodriguez, Ollie Gordon, Jaydon Blue.

Will Shipley / Tank Bigsby | Philadelphia Eagles
If Saquon Barkley goes down, these two become a priority add. Until then, they remain speculative stashes with no standalone fantasy value.

Tier 1 | Elite Wide Receivers for Week 8

Tier 1 Wide Receiver Rankings for Week 8 Fantasy Football Player Rankings Tiers Start/Sit QB RB WR TE featuring Ja'Marr Chase, CeeDee Lamb.

Ja’Marr Chase | Cincinnati Bengals
CeeDee Lamb | Dallas Cowboys
These two stand alone at the top this week. Ja’Marr Chase finally has a QB who can accurately and aggressively feed him targets again, while CeeDee Lamb just delivered his best game of the year after returning from injury. Chase draws another exploitable matchup and should feast again. Lamb’s matchup is tougher, but his role guarantees heavy volume and red-zone work.

Tier 2 | High-End WR1 Options for Week 8

Tier 2 Wide Receiver Rankings for Week 8 Fantasy Football Player Rankings Tiers Start/Sit QB RB WR TE featuring Rashee Rice, Emeka Egbuka, Drake London, Courtland Sutton.

Start of the Week | Emeka Egbuka | Tampa Bay Buccaneers
With Mike Evans possibly out for the year and Chris Godwin likely sidelined again, Emeka Egbuka steps into a massive target void. Since his WR1 overall showing in Week 5, injuries have slowed him, but the Saints’ defense (24th vs WRs) gives him bounce-back potential as Baker Mayfield’s top option.

Rashee Rice / Xavier Worthy | Kansas City Chiefs
Back from suspension, Rashee Rice wasted no time reclaiming top-target status, seeing 9 looks compared to just 11 combined for Xavier Worthy, Hollywood Brown, and Travis Kelce. Expect Mahomes to continue funneling the offense through Rice, with Worthy sliding back to the complementary role.

Drake London | Atlanta Falcons
Despite 10 targets last week, Drake London caught only four, frustrating fantasy managers. Before that, he racked up 18 receptions for 268 yards and two TDs in two games. Facing a Miami defense surrendering nearly 30 PPG, London has another strong chance to rebound.

Courtland Sutton | Denver Broncos
Even with a pair of dud weeks, Courtland Sutton sits at WR15 and remains Bo Nix’s most trusted option. He’s drawn eight or more targets in four games, ranks ninth in receiving yards (469), and gets a dream matchup against the Cowboys’ 32nd-ranked pass defense.

Rome Odunze | Chicago Bears
Since the bye, Rome Odunze has seen 11 targets but only four catches for modest production. The Bears’ run game has been dominant, but Baltimore’s 26th-ranked rush and 28th-ranked pass defense make this a spot where Odunze can reassert himself in what should be a high-scoring affair.

Michael Pittman Jr. | Indianapolis Colts
At WR12, Michael Pittman Jr. has been vital to Daniel Jones’ success and Indy’s hot start. His five TDs are just one shy of a career high, and he should thrive again versus Tennessee’s 28th-ranked scoring defense.

Tier 3 | Fringe WR1 / Strong WR2 Plays for Week 8

Tier 3 Wide Receiver Rankings for Week 8 Fantasy Football Player Rankings Tiers Start/Sit QB RB WR TE featuring A.J. Brown, George Pickens, Tee Higgins, Tetairoa McMillan.

A.J. Brown / DeVonta Smith | Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles’ passing attack has ignited, and A.J. Brown remains the alpha with 49 targets since Week 2. He’s produced a pair of WR4 overall finishes and gets the Giants’ 26th-ranked pass defense, keeping him firmly in WR1 territory. DeVonta Smith remains boom-or-bust but has flex appeal in this matchup.

George Pickens / Tee Higgins | Dallas / Cincinnati
Even playing behind superstars, George Pickens and Tee Higgins stay fantasy-viable on high-octane offenses. Both offer spike-week upside, especially in projected shootouts.

Deebo Samuel / Terry McLaurin | Washington Commanders
Both practiced fully this week, but with Jayden Daniels sidelined, their ceilings dip. Deebo Samuel’s gadget role softens the blow, while Terry McLaurin’s downfield reliance makes him riskier. Kansas City’s scoring pace will force Washington to stay aggressive.

Tier 4 – 8 Rankings for Wide Receivers Week 8

Tier 4 | Reliable WR2 Starters for Week 8

Tier 4 Wide Receiver Rankings for Week 8 Fantasy Football Player Rankings Tiers Start/Sit QB RB WR TE featuring Chris Olave, D.K. Metcalf, Zay Flowers, Wan’Dale Robinson.

Chris Olave | New Orleans Saints
Tied for #2 in the NFL with 68 targets, Chris Olave just posted a WR5 finish versus Chicago. Tampa Bay’s secondary can be beaten, and the Saints will keep feeding their best playmaker.

Wan’Dale Robinson | New York Giants
The WR13 over the past two weeks, Wan’Dale Robinson has clicked with Jaxson Dart while benefitting from Malik Nabers’ absence. Philadelphia’s 23rd-ranked defense gives him another high-floor, high-volume opportunity.

Tier 5 | Risk-Reward Flex Wide Receivers for Week 8

Tier 5 Wide Receiver Rankings for Week 8 Fantasy Football Player Rankings Tiers Start/Sit QB RB WR TE featuring Jauan Jennings, Xavier Worthy, Jerry Jeudy, Khalil Shakir

Sits of the Week | Jauan Jennings / Kendrick Bourne | San Francisco 49ers
With Ricky Pearsall expected to miss a fourth game, Jauan Jennings and Kendrick Bourne remain relevant. Jennings’ return hurt Bourne’s target count, and George Kittle should be reintegrated further, squeezing the volume even tighter. Both are touchdown-dependent dart throws.

Zay Flowers | Baltimore Ravens
Since his Week 1 explosion, Zay Flowers has averaged just 11 PPG (WR40). Without Lamar Jackson, this offense has no ceiling. Until QB play stabilizes, Flowers is a risky WR3.

Jayden Higgins / Jaylin Noel | Houston Texans
With Nico Collins and Christian Kirk out, rookies Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel get their biggest chance yet. San Francisco’s physical secondary will make them earn it, but sheer volume could deliver usable production.

Tier 6 | Upside Flex Wide Receivers for Week 8

Tier 6 Wide Receiver Rankings for Week 8 Fantasy Football Player Rankings Tiers Start/Sit QB RB WR TE featuring Keon Coleman, Xavier Legette, Romeo Doubs, Kayshon Boutte.

Keon Coleman / Khalil Shakir | Buffalo Bills
Keon Coleman and Khalil Shakir lead the Bills in targets (34 and 32) but remain inconsistent deep flexes. Shakir had a WR15 week, Coleman a WR2 outing in Week 1, yet neither can be trusted weekly against Carolina’s #10 pass defense.

Xavier Legette / Jalen Coker | Carolina Panthers
Just returning to the lineup was Jalen Coker, while Xavier Legette just broke out with 9-92-1. Andy Dalton’s presence raises the floor of the entire offense, though Buffalo’s #2 pass defense limits their ceiling.

Troy Franklin / Marvin Mims Jr. | Denver Broncos
A season-high 10 targets and a fluky TD lifted Troy Franklin, while Marvin Mims saw seven looks of his own. Both are athletic big-play threats with volatile outcomes, but Dallas’s 32nd-ranked pass defense puts spike-week potential back on the table.

Tier 7 | Deep League Flex and Bench WRs for Week 8

Tier 7 Wide Receiver Rankings for Week 8 Fantasy Football Player Rankings Tiers Start/Sit QB RB WR TE featuring Jalen Coker, Matthew Golden, Luther Burden III, Darius Slayton.

Luther Burden III | Chicago Bears
A pure boom-or-bust play, Luther Burden III can score from anywhere on the field but plays limited snaps (~25%). Against Baltimore’s vulnerable secondary, he’s a sneaky DFS dart with big-play appeal.

Tier 8 | Stash or Emergency Wide Receivers for Week 8

Tier 8 Wide Receiver Rankings for Week 8 Fantasy Football Player Rankings Tiers Start/Sit QB RB WR TE featuring Rashod Bateman, Malik Washington, Luke McCaffrey, Jaylin Lane.

Tier 1 | The Tyler Warren Experience

Tier 1 Tight End Rankings for Week 8 Fantasy Football Player Rankings Tiers Start/Sit QB RB WR TE featuring Tyler Warren

Tyler Warren | Indianapolis Colts
The TE3 overall, Tyler Warren leads all tight ends in receiving yards (439) with 261 coming after contact. He’s hit double-digit fantasy points in every game except one, back in Week 3 against Tennessee’s 14th-ranked pass defense. Warren remains a locked-in weekly starter and a focal point of the Colts’ offense.

Tier 2 | High-End TE1 Starters for Week 8

Tier 2 Tight End Rankings for Week 8 Fantasy Football Player Rankings Tiers Start/Sit QB RB WR TE featuring Tucker Kraft, George Kittle, Jake Ferguson

Tucker Kraft | Green Bay Packers
Tied with Dalton Kincaid as the TE5, Tucker Kraft continues to shine in the Packers’ #12 passing offense. Despite being second in targets, he leads the team in receiving yards and has 4 TDs in 6 games. Facing a solid Pittsburgh defense that’s been stingy against tight ends, Kraft’s red-zone role keeps him in the elite conversation.

George Kittle | San Francisco 49ers
After seeing only two targets and no catches in his Week 7 return, George Kittle’s impact came in the run game, paving the way for Christian McCaffrey’s best outing of the season. This week, Houston’s #4 overall defense will force San Francisco to lean more on Kittle’s receiving ability, expect his usage to spike.

Tier 3 | Solid TE1 Options for Week 8

Tier 3 Tight End Rankings for Week 8 Fantasy Football Player Rankings Tiers Start/Sit QB RB WR TE featuring Travis Kelce, Cade Otton, Dalton Kincaid, Evan Engram.

Start of the Week | Cade Otton | Tampa Bay Buccaneers
With both Mike Evans and Chris Godwin sidelined, Cade Otton has stepped up as a favorite of Baker Mayfield, posting his highest target share and catch total of the season last week. The Saints are tougher through the air than on the ground, but their 27th-ranked scoring defense keeps Otton in TE1 territory this week.

Travis Kelce | Kansas City Chiefs
No longer the league-breaking ceiling play he once was, Travis Kelce remains a steady TE1 with 375 yards and 2 TDs on the season. With Rashee Rice back as the top target, Kelce’s role has settled into a dependable #2 option in one of football’s top passing attacks.

Evan Engram | Dallas Cowboys
Evan Engram logged season-highs in both snap share and target rate last week, becoming a clear secondary option behind Courtland Sutton. Dallas’ weak coverage over the middle gives Engram another path to a strong outing.

Kyle Pitts | Miami Dolphins
Finally being used like a true receiver again, Kyle Pitts is on pace for 100+ targets for the first time since his rookie season. The Falcons’ #10 passing offense hasn’t produced many TDs (only five total), but Miami’s 29th-ranked scoring defense offers a chance for Pitts to hit pay dirt.

Mason Taylor | New York Jets
With Garrett Wilson out again, Mason Taylor should see expanded volume in the Jets’ offense. Still searching for his first career touchdown, Taylor draws the 31st-ranked Cincinnati scoring defense, giving him top-10 upside for Week 8.

Tier 4 & 5 Tight End Rankings Week 8 Fantasy Football

Tier 4 | Fringe TE1 / Strong TE2 Plays for Week 8

Tier 4 Tight End Rankings for Week 8 Fantasy Football Player Rankings Tiers Start/Sit QB RB WR TE featuring Zach Ertz, Hunter Henry, Harold Fannin Jr., Theo Johnson.

Sits of the Week | Baltimore Tight Ends | Mark Andrews / Isaiah Likely
Mark Andrews remains the clear leader, but neither he nor Isaiah Likely have held much fantasy relevance, outside of a week 3 spike for Andrews. Chicago’s defense is far weaker against the run, so Baltimore will likely keep the ball on the ground.

Harold Fannin Jr. | Cleveland Browns
With David Njoku ruled out, Harold Fannin Jr. becomes the primary receiving tight end. New England’s defense can be exploited through the air, and Fannin’s athleticism gives him a sneaky ceiling if the Browns are forced to chase points.

Pat Freiermuth | Pittsburgh Steelers
Out of nowhere, Pat Freiermuth delivered his best game since late 2023, fittingly, against Cincinnati again. He looked like the reliable #2 target Aaron Rodgers needs, though Green Bay’s #12 defense will make repeating that performance tougher

Tier 5 | Deep League or Touchdown-Dependent Tight Ends for Week 8

Tier 5 Tight End Rankings for Week 8 Fantasy Football Player Rankings Tiers Start/Sit QB RB WR TE featuring Isaiah Likely, Colston Loveland, Jonnu Smith, Juwan Johnson.

Colston Loveland | Chicago Bears
Finally overtaking Cole Kmet in snaps, Colston Loveland saw a season-high four targets in Week 7. The rookie #10 overall pick is healthy and trending up, with a growing role in an offense that’s beginning to balance. Baltimore provides a solid test for his next step.

New Orleans Tight Ends (Juwan Johnson / Taysom Hill)
After a quiet midseason stretch, Juwan Johnson rebounded with seven targets and his highest yardage output of the year. Taysom Hill remains a gadget player without meaningful volume, leaving Johnson as the only viable play from this group.
