Andy Dalton | Carolina Panthers | 10% Rostership | 8% FAAB

The health of Bryce Young will be something to monitor as more news emerges. Young left Sunday’s Week 7 matchup against the New York Jets with an ankle injury. Andy Dalton stepped in, completing 4 of 7 passes for 60 yards. If Young is forced to miss time, Dalton will step in Week 8 as Carolina will host the Buffalo Bills.

Marcus Mariota | Washington Commanders | 31% Rostership | 8% FAAB

Marcus Mariota makes his return to the waiver wire article after Jayden Daniels left his Week 7 game against Dallas with a hamstring injury. Mariota has already filled in for Daniels twice this season and may have to again when Washington travels to Arrowhead to take on the Kansas Chiefs on Monday Night Football.

Tyrod Taylor | New York Jets | 22% Rostership | 20% FAAB

If you read my Week 7 Fantasy Football Trade Advice article, you would already know my fear of Justin Fields being benched for poor play. Well, it came to fruition Sunday, as Fields completed only 6 passes for 46 yards before being benched for Tyrod Taylor. I would not be shocked if Taylor is named the starter moving forward, which makes him my priority fantasy football pickup for Week 8.

Running Back Waiver Wire Targets | Week 8 Fantasy Football

Samaje Perine | Cincinatti Bengals | 26% Rostership | 2% FAAB

Samaje Perine has emerged as the clear handcuff to Chase Brown. Coming into Week 8, Perine has seen his snap count increase to a near 50/50 split with Brown. Brown managers should prioritize adding Perine in case of injury to Brown.

Wide Receiver Targets | Week 8 Waiver Wire Fantasy Football

Andrei Iosivas | Cincinatti Bengals | 44% Rostership | 2% FAAB

Andrei Iosivas has seen at least four targets in each of his last three games. While Iosivas will always be third fiddle behind Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins for targets, the opportunity for targets will always be there, as the Bengals will constantly be needing to throw, as their defense is allowing 30 points per game on average to opponents.

Chimere Dike | Tennessee Titans | 47% Rostership | 2% FAAB

On Sunday, Chimere Dike had a career day against the New England Patriots. The rookie wide receiver set career highs in receptions and receiving yards while also logging his first career NFL touchdown. Dike’s usage is something to monitor moving forward, with interim head coach Mike McCoy taking over.

Josh Reynolds | New York Jets | 33% Rostership | 2% FAAB

With Garrett Wilson out, Josh Reynolds served as the Jets WR1. Reynolds saw a team-high nine targets. With the return of Wilson looming, I don’t expect nine targets, but I do expect a more competent passing offense with Taylor as the signal caller.

Parker Washington | Jacksonville Jaguars | 44% Rostership | 2% FAAB

Parker Washington caught four of his 10 targets for 52 yards while also rushing three times for 10 yards in the Jaguars’ loss to the Rams. This marks the second time this season that Washington has seen at least 10 targets. Brian Thomas Jr. left the game late in the fourth quarter with an apparent shoulder injury. If Thomas misses any time, Washington would jump into a more significant role along with teammate Dymai Brown.

Top Tight End Pickups | Week 8 Waiver Wire

Noah Fant | Cincinatti Bengals | 47% Rostership | 3% FAAB

With Mike Gesicki hitting injured reserve earlier in the week, Noah Fant stepped into the top tight-end role. Fant posted a new season high in receiving yards and scored his second touchdown of the season. Fant should remain the top pass-catching option at his position while Gesicki is out.

Darnell Washington | Pittsburgh Steelers | 21% Rostership | 4% FAAB

At 6’7” and nearly 300 lbs, Darnell Washington is becoming a fantasy weapon for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Washington posted a career high in receiving yards in Week 7 and has seen 10 targets in the past 2 weeks. Given his massive frame, Washington is always a candidate for red zone targets as well.

💬 FAQ | Week 8 Waiver Wire Fantasy Football Pickups

Q1: Is Justin Fields benched, and should I add Tyrod Taylor for Week 8 fantasy football?
A: Yes. Justin Fields was benched in Week 7 after another poor outing, and Tyrod Taylor replaced him, giving the passing offense a slight boost. Taylor is expected to start again in Week 8 and is the top waiver wire quarterback add for both dynasty and redraft leagues.

Q2: How much FAAB should I spend on Tyrod Taylor or Andy Dalton in Week 8 Waivers?
A: In SuperFlex formats, Tyrod Taylor is worth 15–20 % FAAB as a potential multi-week starter, while Andy Dalton is a 5–8 % FAAB bid for a one-week fill-in. In 1QB leagues, managers should look at better options.

Q3: Which wide receivers should I target from the Week 8 Waiver Wire after injuries?
A: Parker Washington and Chimere Dike are the priority adds. Washington could see more targets if Brian Thomas Jr. misses time, while Dike’s breakout in Tennessee gives him short-term flex appeal in both dynasty and redraft leagues.

Q4: How should I manage my FAAB budget for Week 8 Waiver Wire pickups?
A: Prioritize injuries that create immediate starting roles like Tyrod Taylor or Zonovan Knight last week. Spend 15–20 % FAAB on short-term starters, 5–10 % on depth or handcuffs, and reserve 25 % of your budget for playoff-week breakouts.

Q5: What’s the smartest dynasty strategy for late-season waiver wire moves?
A: In dynasty leagues, add players who can earn trade value through injuries or rise in depth charts heading into 2026. Handcuff RBs, second-year WRs, and athletic TEs like Darnell Washington often offer the best long-term ROI on late-season bids.

Trivia Answer | With a stat line of 4-70-1 receiving and 1 for -1 rushing, Chimere Dike scored 16.9 PPR points in Week 7—the most of all the Week 8 Waiver pickups. (click to return)
