After back-to-back seasons of falling short of a title, and less than a year removed from a rare three-loss campaign, the Georgia Bulldogs enter the college football season with a new signal-caller.
Junior Gunner Stockton, whose only start came against Notre Dame in the 2024 CFP Quarterfinal at the Allstate Sugar Bowl, takes over under center following Carson Beck’s decision to transfer to Miami.
While Stockton only has that one start to his credit, television personality and analyst Jordan Rodgers had nothing but good things to say about him on Tuesday at the 2025 SEC Kickoff.
“I just think people are really underestimating how talented Gunner Stockton actually is,” Rodgers said, per SEC Network. “Probably because he sat behind Carson Beck, who was one of the most gifted throwers in the country last year.”
