Which NFL coaches and coordinators should start looking for new employment opportunities after their Week 8 showing?

The NFL coaching carousel has already started spinning and more names could be added thanks to the sorry state of coaching we saw around the league in Week 8.

Todd Bowles and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers started things off right — if right has an alternate definition meaning terrible — with their Thursday Night Football loss to the Ravens.

The good news for Bowles is that his handling of the 3-5 Bucs was overshadowed by other coaches who appear to be actively trying to get fired.

Kliff Kingsbury

Head Coach Arizona Cardinals

The Cardinals went to the playoffs last year with an 11-6 record. The team has reasonable aspirations of competing for division and conference titles and more. The number of people who believe Kliff Kingsbury is capable of taking them to those heights is steadily dwindling.

Since starting the 2021 season 7-0, Arizona has gone 7-12, including a playoff loss to the Rams. Kingsbury has been in conflict with quarterback Kyler Murray. He has struggled with game management. His team has looked further and further away from making NFL waves.

In Week 8, Kingsbury frustrated fans with a slew of wide receiver screens and wasted timeouts. His offense had three drives to draw even with the Vikings at the end of the game and they didn’t get it done.

Kingsbury has got to be walking on thin ice with a 3-5 record and little hope of making the playoffs again.
