NFL experts make Week 12 picks

The New York Giants (0-0) will host the Minnesota Vikings (0-0) at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey on Sunday afternoon.

Opening the week, the Giants were listed as 1-point home underdogs and things have only gotten worse since then. As of this writing, Minnesota is -1.5.

Let’s take a look at who some of the experts and insiders around the league are taking in the Week 1 matchup:

Expert Pick Score (if applicable)
Dan Graziano (ESPN) Vikings N/A
Matt Bowen (ESPN) Vikings N/A
Seth Wickersham (ESPN) Giants N/A
Pete Prisco (CBS) Giants 23-21
John Breech (CBS) Giants 17-13
Jordan Dajani (CBS) Vikings 13-10
Nate Davis (USA TODAY) Vikings 26-16
Lorenzo Reyes (USA TODAY) Vikings 18-10
Bill Bender (Sporting News) Giants  21-18
Vinnie Iyer (Sporting News) Giants  17-14

There’s an even split to open the season with most expecting a low-scoring game. Only Nate Davis of USA TODAY, a New York Jets fan who believes the Giants are the worst team in football, sees them losing by double-digits.

Other experts from around the league are similarly split with 57 percent predicting a Vikings victory and 43 percent predicting a Giants victory, per NFL Pickwatch.

Fans are ever-so-slight more confident in the Giants with 44 percent predicting a Big Blue win and 56 percent predicting a Vikings dub in Week 1.
