Atlanta Braves outfielder Jorge Soler left Wednesday’s game in San Francisco after experiencing soreness in his hamstring. As expected, he was out of the lineup for the series finale Thursday.
Brian Snitker provided an update on Soler after Thursday’s 6-0 loss in San Francisco. Soler is dealing with a mild hamstring strain according to manager Brian Snitker. Soler told MLB.com’s Mark Bowman that he won’t play Friday against the Angels, but woke up feeling better Thursday and is hoping he can return to the lineup over the weekend.
Soler says he won’t play tomorrow. But he’s not ruling out playing Saturday or Sunday. He woke up feeling much better today

The Braves will of course play it safe with Soler so it won’t be terribly surprising to see him miss the entire series against the Angels. Atlanta is off on Monday before starting a big three-game series at home against the Philadelphia Phillies.
Soler is hitting .267/.400/.578 with four home runs since the trade. He has reached base in 12 of the 13 games that he has played in. Ramon Laureano started in right field Thursday with Jarred Kelenic in left and Michael Harris in center.
