The New York Giants and Detroit Lions hit the practice field for a second straight day out at the Quest Diagnostics Training Center in East Rutherford on Tuesday.
Monday’s practice was cut short due to the incessant fighting and high tempers that flared during almost every drill.

Head coach Brian Daboll began his media session on Tuesday by saying the team will continue to play hard and physical at practice but will work on cleaning up some of the things that led to the many brawls on Monday.
Daboll said he discussed cutting down on the extracurriculars with Lions head coach Dan Campbell on Tuesday so the two teams can work on things such as kickoffs, where the new rules have teams scrambling to both understand and embrace.
Daboll said he told quarterback Daniel Jones — who was front and center in a massive brawl on Monday — to “just stay out” of fights going forward.
“I said, ‘What are you going to do in there?’
He said, ‘My guy is down on the ground.’
I said, ‘Just stay out.'”

Lions coach Dan Campbell said he and Brian Daboll talked about all the fights in yesterday’s practice and are on the same page. “A couple of guys who go rogue and start something but it’s not a big deal.” pic.twitter.com/FFriBcpNXZ

Recently signed cornerback Christian Holmes and wide receiver Dennis Houston (hand) are among the new names Daboll said will not participate in Tuesday’s practice.
Daboll said he foresees offensive coordinator Mike Kafka coaching from the booth for Thursday’s preseason game versus the Lions.
Campbell told reporters that he didn’t think that starting quarterback Jared Goff would play in Thursday’s game.
Every training camp a motto, or mantra, emerges. This summer for the Giants, it’s “D.A.W.G,” which stands for “Discipline, Attitude, Win, Grit.”
